McVay: Hey! One game at a time, Steve. We're not there yet but I'll do everything in my power to fulfill that for this great city of Los Angeles.

Wow not even an NFC championship game and talk of a dynasty? Sounds like talking it all up about being a good fuck then cumming in a minute!

Wait until it happens then talk about it.

Step by Step. McVay has taken the first 2.

Winning 3 super bowls in 10 years would be neary dynastical. McVay hasn't mastered the red zone. When he does will win super bowls.

I hear you Steve. It's possible if McVay adapts moment to moment like Belichick. I've got this feeling that the NFL has two current coaches playing 4-d chess and McVay has more tread on his tires than Belichick.

Once you construct a superior roster, the biggest roadblock to a dynasty is the salary cap. If McVay can forge a Dynasty Culture and make L.A. the place to play, then perhaps we'll see several team friendly, sweetheart deals like Tom Brady's contract. Older players willing to play relatively cheap for a Superbowl ring goes a long way to paving the Dynasty Yellow and Blue Brick Road.

I agree with everything except the Brady contract.

I seriously doubt that he's not getting something outside of football.

I mean he's getting the economic benefit of having a training facility right next to the Patriots' facility and apparently he's paying little to no rent to Kraft for it which means that perhaps millions of dollars in outside football benefits are accruing to him.

And literally if any other player did that, the NFL would squash it like a bug.

Also, McVay is quickly becoming the coach players all want to play for.

That Belichick stuff gets old after awhile, but being treated in a positive, professional manner never gets old.

McVay is in the driver's seat towards becoming the most iconic/successful head coach in league history

Not promising anything crazy, just pointing out his immediate success combined with starting at an age that is 10+ years younger than the typical first time HC- guy could potentially pull a George H.Halas and win 300+ games(318 Ws) with one organization:dizzy: --- note Halas was a HC for 47 years...started coaching the Decatur Staleys(one season, than became Bears) at age of 25.

I give McVay an 86%° chance he is still leader of this party 8 years from now. Can't give 100% chance because guys like Jim Harbaugh had killer early impressions but ultimately spiraled towards their defeat of can pull a Jon Gruden(Oak>TB)\Tony Dungy(TB>IND) and depart at peak of career due to developing emotional/political fatigue/disrespect, wearing out stay or running for the Ro$e$.As

°'86 is his year of birth, that's why I went there

I'll use this opportunity to admit upon his hire I instinctively predicted him not making it more than 2 seasons.

Think about how often slam dunk hires never stood a chance:Bing
any Belecheck spawn, modern Jon Gruden, Lovie Smith - poor guy is going out on a lowww note in Illiniville, Kyle Shanahan - if he had anything close to 'it' he should be able to coach his team up to an 8-8 record despite injuries, Dennis Green(AZ), Jeff Fisher, Steve Spurrier replacing a very competent Marty Schottenheimert, Nick Saban, Chip Kelly(PHI&SF), Bobby Petrino, Dick Vermeil/Herm Edwards(KC),John Fox(CHI) Steve Mariucci(DET), Mike Singletary, and DITKA

Rare slam dunks that stuck the landing over past two decades:
Tony Dungy
Andy Reid(KC)
Pete Carroll(SEA)
Marvin Lewis - longest tenured in league, was house hold name as Ravens DC
Norv Turner,multiple times
Ken Wisenhunt(AZ) first guy to get that team playing legit in a long time, was well known as Steelers OC
Gary Kubiak(Den)
Jimmy Johnson
Tom Coughlin(NYG)
Jim Mora(IND)
Dick Vermeil(STL)

IMO currently the best active head coaches were under the radar hires - Mike Tomlin, Andy Reid(PHI), Asshole Face, Anthony Lynn, Mike McCarthy, and perhaps Dan Quinn and Matt Nagy.

I think part of the Pats run is the continuity of the offense, they’ve had a lot of dc’s but I think the offensive staff has been pretty stable. Since McVay is an offensive guy unlike Belichek hopefully that is taken care of. If the rams can find somebody to run the defense long term, Pleasant?, they’ll be in good shape for a while.
The offensive coaches ability to adapt as well.
A lot of coaches are not great football minds, they just know their scheme inside and out.
The Pats have been a ball control team, a downfield passing team and a dink and dunk team.
They have adapted to their personnel.

ROD brothers, I meant, I believe McVay is building a dynasty. I know we are nowhere near being a dynasty. But somehow, knowing that Sean is our coach, I honestly believe that we have Super Bowl Titles in our future, even if it's not this season (but damn I want one this season). I guess I'm saying I'm really confident that McVay will turn this team into a contender almost every year.

As much as I lost confidence in Fisher, I feel that confident in McVay. I believe McVay's success is why Fisher is still unemployed. Although props to Fisher for drafting a core of great players.
