ESPN’s Todd McShay evaluates former Auburn OT Greg Robinson, who McShay thinks is clearly the top offensive lineman in this year’s draft. He says he would be a great choice for the Rams. (1:22)

Robinson scares me. I'd rather get Clowney, Watkins, or Matthews

When i think off the strong, fast, dominant front sevens we'll be facing six times a year...i want Robinson on our side in the 4th qtr of games. Leaning on people, pushing DLines around and getting to the next level to spring Stacy for that final punch in the mouth to seal the deal. We've got one of the finest OLine coaches in the business. Let's give him a monster talent to mold and grow into a premiere LT. In the meantime he can immediately shore up our weak interior.

Trade down and grab him at #6. If he's not there take Matthews. If no trade down available?....i'm still torn on who to draft at #2. I think i've still got Robinson up there, but Kalil Mack would be tempting for me.

My Mojo_mangina wants no part of Clowney :D.
We're stacked at DLine. If you want Clowney then move one of these guys(Long,Hayes)...but that's stupid.

At this point, I'm fine with anyone BUT Mack. He'd be HORRIBLE value for the Rams. He's not that good in coverage, he's not the best tackler in space, and he's undersized for a DE and can be taken out of plays. He's good at rushing the passer, which is what he'd be great at in a 3-4, but we don't run that so he'd essentially just be a pass rush specialist that we hope can get better in the areas that are essential for an OLB in a 4-3. That's horrible value for a top 10 pick. I will be absolutely pissed if the Rams draft him. At first I thought the Mack love was purely a smokescreen to get others more interested in trading up but I keep seeing more reports on how the Rams are in love with him and in the past those reports have been pretty largely correct. I just hate the idea of not only spending a first round pick on a SLB but spending one in the top 10. They just aren't that important for a 4-3 defense. That's why most of the time an extra CB replaces him.

My gut is telling me that Mack is the Rams' guy.

St. Louis Rams: Khalil Mack, DE/OLB, Buffalo

This is what St. Louis' preferred options look like, in order:

1. Trade down with a team wanting Jadeveon Clowney or Blake Bortles.
2. Draft Clowney if available.
3. Draft either Khalil Mack or Sammy Watkins.

Most mocks have Watkins or Greg Robinson here, but the Rams are deciding between Khalil Mack or Sammy Watkins at No. 2 barring a trade or Clowney being available. They are also "falling in love" with Mack, per Charlie Campbell's report. And for those wondering, this is not a smokescreen; it's the same source that gave us Alec Ogletree in 2013, which is why both Charlie and I had the Georgia linebacker mocked to St. Louis last year.

Just saw this from walterfootball...that last bolded part is very interesting, you might be right

And it makes me very worried. The same kind of concern that I felt when they took Quick, Pead, Austin(mainly because they gave up WAY too much to get him), and Brockers(I don't agree with taking run stuffing DT's in the first round, let alone the top half). I never thought, and still don't think, the last two would/will be busts but they were poor picks when speaking in terms of value, IMO, and that's exactly what I'm talking about here. Value. Mack is best suited for a 3-4 team and if they plan on using him in a 4-3 they are getting a project at a position of limited value and I HATE projects in the first, let alone top 10. There's no denying his athleticism. I go by play on the field, though, and he played inferior opponents with the exception of Baylor(which he looked mediocre at best) and Ohio St(which he looked great as a pass rusher only). Boy I hope this is a GREAT smokescreen for a trade down.

This draft day delay is really starting to piss me off.

I think Robinson is #2 pick talent. He has the highest ceiling for an OL in years and he has an absolutely dominating presence. I'm sick of people thinking you can only draft skill position players with high picks. How are people so delusional to believe our current O-line is capable of competing against our divisions fierce pass rush? We need a guy like this that can potentially take Aldon Smith, Calais Campbell, or Cliff Avril out of a game.

Saffold + Robinson on the right side = Domination. Stacy won't be touched by a d-lineman.
