Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch is being investigated by police in Bellevue, Washington, after an “allegation of an assault and personal property damage,” according to a statement from the Bellevue Police Department.

Lynch has not been arrested or charged, and police say they have not determined whether Lynch was actually involved in the incident.

“The Bellevue Police Department is in the process of gathering the facts of this alleged incident, including verifying whether or not Mr. Lynch was in fact involved,” police said in a statement. “No arrests have been made. There is no further information available at this time.”

Police have not gone into detail about the nature of the allegation, but they did say it was over an incident at an apartment building early on Sunday morning, and that “no domestic violence or sexual assault was involved in the allegation.” The only information police have released about the alleged victim is that she is female.

Lynch has been in trouble with the law before, including a 2008 guilty plea to hit and run, a 2014 guilty plea to reckless driving as the resolution to a DUI arrest, and a 2009 guilty plea to misdemeanor weapons charges, the latter of which resulted in a three-game suspension to start the 2009 season. Lynch reported to Seahawks camp on July 31 after a brief holdout resulted in the Seahawks agreeing to increase his 2014 base salary.

Why again is Lynch not sitting in jail for that hit and run, just like the rest of us would be? Oh right, the pro treatment. Gotcha.

I think Lynch, Rice and Smith should make a trip to Vegas together soon. Really, how much trouble could they get in? Hell might as well invite Josh Gordon also, word is he isn't doing much these days.

We are living in a bit of a glass house with several Rams also getting into trouble, questionable past conduct or upcoming suspension. Hope we stay clean the rest of the way this year. I predict this is Lynch's last year in Seattle either way this investigation turns out.

Why would anyone forget that exactly? Weird.
My bad- forgot the blue font.

Letting something go, and forgetting are not the same thing.

Let's keep reminding us Rams fans that the franchise is somehow forever besmirched and diminished because some idiot with a talent made a mistake he'll probably regret every hour of every day for the rest of his life.

Good idea.

Again, my bad. Carry on.

:wtf: Did I just wander into the PD forum by some tragic mistake?

No message board/forum is perfect. We have disagreements here as well. The difference is that those who continue to cause problems here at ROD will be escorted from the premises and all due diligence will be done to assure that they don't return. Other than that...yeah...we're just like the PD.

Now to put some fun back into this thread, behold the Dachshund Fire Brigade.

Got the message.

The message wasn't meant for you or anyone else in this thread, just a general commentary on how we differ from 'the forum which should not be named.' Btw I can only speak for myself but any link to 'the forum which should not be named' is kind of a touchy thing for some of us here. It's like comparing a classy, smooth-running operation to a Lord of the Flies island run by the Three Stooges.
