If the Rams do decide to stay with Ficken he is now on very very short leash. Another chip shot miss and he will be gone for sure. At that point it might be better just to save the roster spot and have the offense go for it or use Hecker for the really short stuff like they did against the Cardinals. The Ram have already gone 2 weeks without Greg so maybe there is a chance he comes back after Seattle. Regardless, I would hate to loose to the Seattle due to kicking woes.

We don't need this. Don't care. We need a kicker who can kick well enough from 40-45 and is nails from 40 inside.

Don't rush Greg. We need him healthy all year.

I wasn’t joking when I upped for the Aguayo tryout...He is def better than Ficken, and he may not have to kick it much from 50+ anyways. Bring him aboard for the tryout...Like others said if he doesn’t fit the bill move on...Simple.

Didn't Ficken win a tryout against a couple other kickers? Besides the 28yd miss, he's done pretty good in my opinion. I think I'd rather have him this week against Seattle than rush GZ back too early. I'm sure the Rams are not going to let GZ come back too early since it's not critical right now. I'd just as soon let Ficken keep kicken for now. It's not like he is having a shank epidemic. I seem to recall GZ missing quite a few intermediate kicks not that awful long ago. Glad we didn't get rid of him for it.

This week is a game that SHOULDN'T come down to a field goal. My thought is to stand pat and bring The Leg back when healthy.

This is so mind boggling for me, only 32 humans are good enough kickers to make the nfl ? I know there is alot of pressure but 8 hours a day kicking, you should be good

Read an article saying to get rid of the fg, compared it to lebron being down 2 with 3 second left and they bring in a swimmer to see if he can tie the game. Very stretched out thought but overall makes sense , kicking is a huge part of the game but it seems like a different sport.

Either way they should go after Zlatan! He can do anything and would love the pressure

That goes for the following week as well. So realistically he wouldn't have to come back until the 49ers game. And that wouldn't be a FG win either. That's going to be a very fun game to watch. I'm truly hoping for an all around dominant performance by the Rams ala the SEA game last year. I'd find that particularly satisfying.
