If Fish didn't fail, we wouldn't have McVay.
Glad we are where we are.
I like to goof on Fish but also have to respect who he did bring in for us.
Donald, Gurley, Goff etc...
Thanks Fish!
Just stay away from coaching unless its a different NFC West team.....

I think he has the makings of a fine college HC. He's a good leader for the young men and all that. But USC might be too high profile for him. He should go get that Tennessee job when it inevitably comes open down the road tbh.

I can't believe that as horrible a coach he was with the Rams, people on this forum are still posting about him as if he is valuable to anyone else in the game of football today. Please stop. SMH

*Let's see...USC's home field is the coliseum.
*Rams' homefield is the coliseum.
*Joke about Fisher tearing up the field Saturday Nights because the Rams often play on the same field the next day.

Somehow, it's just not that funny when you have to spell it out.....

I said last year I think Fisher was an obvious choice for USC Athletic director.

McVay: I am a little tired...
Fisher: Rested tanned and ready........

McVay: Is that your playbook there?
Fisher: Yeah, that's it.
McVay: Can I have a look?
Fisher: Sure man. Here you go.
McVay: What's this? What's this Jeff? It looks like you tried to erase the title on your book. Did that used to say, "Marina Del Rey Middle School? It does!

Fisher could succeed in college if he hired a dynamic OC and stayed out of the way on offense. However, he won't do that.

I think it would be a huge mistake, I think Del Rio would be a mistake too, but at least he'll be able to recruit. Swann should aim higher for the likes of Chris Petersen (Washington) see if John Harbaugh would like to try college like his brother and if he gets a now, then James Franklin (Penn State) or Kyle Whittingham (Utah). Run away for the alum choices, aim high, it's USC!

Unless he's had an epiphany regarding offense, or is willing to hire an OC and let him do his thing, he'll fail there too. College offenses have changed as much as pro defenses, and you have to have a dynamic passing attack that takes risks.

Dinking and dunking short of the sticks on 3rd down with the wing-and-a-prayer philosophy of (insert Fisher drone here) "get the ball to your athletes and let 'em make a play" isn't going to cut it in college ball any more than it did in the NFL.
