I thought it was interesting that the Rams had gone 3 consecutive games without giving up a sack and wondered what the longest streak of games without allowing a single sack was. It turns out that since 2000 28 other teams have gone at least 3 consecutive games, the Colts have done so 6 times. Only 8 teams have gone 4 or more, they are:

2001 Jets
2005 Colts
2007 Saints
2009 Patriots
2009 Falcons
2009 Colts
2008 Titans (5 games)
2010 Giants (5 games)

The Rams could become the 9th tomorrow, quite a turn around from 2011 where we gave up the most sacks in the league.

Also interesting that a Jeff Fisher coached team is tied for the record.

Welcome to the best Rams forum around.

Interesting stat. Doesnt surprise the Colts were on there so many times, a lot to be said for a QB with a quick release. Manning is great at unloading the ball and not getting hit....he really has no interest is dealing with a pass rush.

It is a big imrpovement over even the early part of last season.

Very interesting stat re: 2008 Titans. I could stand to see Sam getting hit a lot less.

Welcome to the board. It really is a great place for Rams fans to hang out.

Rams and Gators starting out with an apology:

Totally unnecessary apology. We actually require new members to start new threads. :whome?:
Not true of course.

Welcome to the ROD! :zomg: :ja: :dancin: :nana: :wewt:

Stop by our members map and pin your location.

We're on Facebook too with some good stuff.

The 1988 Phins hold the record for least amount of sacks given up in a year with 7 and to do that they broke the ST. LOUIS Cardinals record of 8. :bg:

Very interesting stat.
I'd like the Rams to make that list, even for a few more games.

And welcome!

Glad to have you on board!!!

You're not the only to find it interesting Re: '08 Titans. And that was with Kerry Collins at QB.

And welcome aboard!

Atlanta's longest streak is going to be counted in minutes, not games.

However, I think this strike it's not going to be very long. It's not in Sam's "feet" to scramble ... This is not an indictment, just an observation!Nothing more!
