It's one of their old school logos from back in the 60s so kinda makes sense as a throw back. So it's a nostalgia thing for them I guess. I like the color of the helmet at least.

IMO, the new helmet is ugly. The more important question, for me at least, is why dafuq is the primary color for the Detroit Lions Honolulu blue?
