The comment you're quoting was in reference to Connor getting a pay raise FYI.

As for Bell it's curious to me, and this isn't directed at you DX just didn't want to make a second post when I'm already quoting you :D, I find it interesting though that he's supposedly going to garner so much interest in the free agent market and going to be the highest paid back in the league yet nobody was willing to trade for him. He was on the trade block for months and generated no interest by all reports. Yes he was a short term rental but there were a few teams mentioned that at the time were playoff contenders that needed a back.

That said I know he'll get signed in the offseason and will make some good money, beating Gurley I'm not sure about but it's possible. He's got a lot of tread on those tires, a few injuries in his recent past and lets not forget the off field trouble he's been in plus not exactly known for being a good locker room or club house guy. Hell the comments we heard from his team about him during his holdout have never been seen before by a holdouts teammates. They even raided his locker room, if they respected the guy you'd have to imagine that would be handled differently. All the best to him I just don't think he's going to end up making that money he said no thanks to this year easily. He is still young yes but lots of tread on those tires.

How could he be on the trade block if he hadn't signed the tag? Why would teams make offers for a player that can't be traded.

So you think bell would play under the tag for another team? You're way off the mark.

And the Stealers showed what kind of garbage people they are. Garbage front office, garbage players, garbage coach.

They could trade him up until the deadline but once he didn't sign the tender the team trading for him could only pick up the remainder of the franchise tag. Reports were they tried to trade him all offseason. The attempts to trade him really picked up middle of September.

You make some great points but one point you keep making is why he held out because of the thread on those tires

They couldn’t trade him unless he signed the franchise tag. Can’t trade a player who isn’t under contract.

the system is against rbs
This I’ll agree with which is also part of why I don’t think he’ll get the type of money he apparently is expecting.

I don’t really care personally. He signs for what he signs. He’s not going to be a Ram so I hope he maxes out. That likely means one more free agent available.

Le'Veon Bell is Enjoying the Steelers' Misery

Oh, now that is a tough look for the Steelers. Something they can not be in any mood for right about now. It’s got to be like going on Facebook to say you just got laid off and have you’re ex reply with this:

And to think, it wasn’t that long ago that they had Upper Hand with Le’Veon Bell. The whole middle third of the season they were on an unstoppable roll. Just over a month ago they crushed Carolina 52-21. James Conner was the living embodiment of “Le’Veon Who???” sentiment, with five 100-yard rushing games and five 50-yard receiving games in his first eight.

It looked to all the world that Bell had overplayed his hand. But since then Connor’s totals have been 65, 25, 53, 60 on the ground and 8, 24, 42, 14 through the air. The Steelers have lost three straight. Including one at Denver where they outgained the Broncos 527-308 and this debacle against the 3-10 Raiders. And now Bell has hand.

To make matters worse, Bell is piling on at a time when the Steelers need a win against a Patriots team that is coming off one of the great, cosmic, titty-twister losses in their history and knows they need to win out to get a bye week in the playoffs.

And speaking of history, here’s the Steelers’ history against New England in the Mike Tomlin era:

Steelers-Patriots.jpg

So if ever there was a good time to have your formerly beloved, one-time franchise running back-turned-jilted, resentful ex-spouse waving his d*** at you (and I don’t know why there ever would be) this is definitely not it. But there it is. Bell just sitting at home unemployed, waiting for his massive pay day to come, and enjoying his former teammates’ misfortunes. It would take a heart of stone not to laugh.

Would be funny if Bell made a living trolling the Steelers on social media for years...
