SEVEN NFC TEAMS AT 20-1 OR BETTER IN LATEST SUPER BOWL 52 ODDS
by Adam Thompson

The Los Angeles Rams have been slowly, but surely, climbing up the odds to win Super Bowl 52.

After Sunday’s shutout victory over the Cardinals, oddsmakers are really jumping on board.

The Rams, a team that was among the worst in the league last year at 4-12, are now 18/1 odds to win a championship, from 40/1 just a week ago, and 60/1 two weeks prior, according to the latest odds posted by the Westgate LV Superbook.

They were at 100/1 to open the season at the Westgate, but as high as 150/1 in some circles.

The turning point was a 33-0 blowout win over Arizona in London. Cardinals QB Carson Palmer got injured, which put a huge dent in Arizona’s chances. But the Rams’ offense also rolled, generating 425 yards, the unit’s highest total in more than three years.

Los Angeles is 5-2 for the first time in 14 years.

''We haven't been in this position, but we're definitely grateful,'' said RB Todd Gurley, who ran for 106 yards and a TD on Sunday. ''We've just got to take it game by game.''

The Rams are one of seven NFC teams at 20/1 or lower to win it all. The AFC, by contrast, has only three teams with such odds, the Patriots, Steelers and Chiefs.

The Vikings and Saints, two teams at 40/1 just two weeks ago, are now at 12/1 and 14/1, respectively.

Minnesota has won three straight and is on top of the NFC North, while New Orleans has won four in a row and leapfrogged Carolina for first in the NFC South.

Of course, the NFC is considered a wide-open race thanks in part to the demise of the Packers. The injury to Aaron Rodgers has been as bad as expected for Green Bay, losers of two straight after a 4-1 start.

In just two weeks, the team has risen from 5/1 to 60/1.

I hope someone put some money on the Rams before the season to make the super bowl. That'd be some serious cash if it happens.

In 1999 the Rams were 2000/1 to win the Superbowl.
I was tempted to throw £10 on them but didn't.
That's why I don't bet on the Rams.
It was an error on the bookies part considering the players on the offence alone.
I'm a bookie myself and the we opened the Rams at 150/1 this season.

You can get 20/1 on the Rams here and 15/8 to win the division. The Seahawks are favourites to win the division currently.

My brother and I were having a late dinner around 2 AM in Vegas in July 1999 and I was telling him about how the Rams just got Marshall, Trent Green and Tory Holt and already had Bruce and Pace and a decent defense. Then we looked at the odds and saw 200 - 1. I said we should make a bet on them. I was having a decent Vegas trip on Blackjack and was thinking of putting $100 or so on them. We went up to the booth at 2 AM and found out it was closed. I told my brother that we will do it in the morning.

We forgot :cry::sick::banghead::headexplosion::mad::(

Of course if we had put a bet on them and after Trent got hurt in the third preseason game, I probably would have tore up the ticket.

That was a typo in my above post, 200/1 not 2000/1.
With Warner, Faulk, Bruce, Holt, to name but a few, 2000/1 would be crazy.

I made 2 bets on the Rams in preseason (NFC West champs, NFC champs) and 1 after the Indy win (Superbowl champs). I'll come up with a nice payday if they just win the division, but if they go to the Superbowl and then win it all, holy sh*t, I'll probably wind up at some titty bar making it rain like we were still in a drought.
