Other than the FAs, I’d be thrilled with that…

No way we grab two interior OL in the draft… as much as I’d love it…

Honestly, don't have much bad to say here. I don't think there is any way on earth Avila makes it to 69. I'd be praying hard that Kraft makes it to 81 because of small school bias. My only real issue is CB. Some have said Moss is only a safety, but I'm not so sure. He's athletic enough to play CB, IMO. I don't like Rodriguez as a prospect really at all. If a guy like Tucker, Hull or McIntosh was there, I'd much prefer that. O'Connell isn't my fav of the QB's, but, unless we passing up Tune there, its unlikely there is much left in 6th. Overall, I'd be pretty pleased with this draft.

Yeah, loved that trade down Jourdan did also. Its perfect.

Eli Apple, no thank you. Myles Jack, absolutely!
Eli Apple can finish out his career playing with his Dad!
Dear god that was fucking fantastic!!! :laugh4:

I like a lot of that. I love Kraft in your scenario. Moody will be a fantastic replacement for Gay, but I bet he goes 4th. I hope to come away with Hall or Tune at QB.

Great final mock.

Everybody has difference of opinion with draft picks and which way to go and who is better and that's OK

but what's not OK you pick up Eli Apple?

What's he going to be doing during TC and OTA's? Carrying Cooper Kupp's helmet and pads in and out of the facility?

because Cooper is still Eli's daddy! lol

But seriously, I think y'all are sleeping on Lew Nichols III. The guy has legit third down potential as a pass catcher/pass-blocker, is 5'11", 222 lbs., and runs away and through a lot of players. I'd like him a hell of a lot more than Chris Rodriguez. I'd also take Jaren Hall over Aidan O'Connell; I don't see an NFL quarterback in O'Connell, while Hall could easily be our future quarterback. I have no issues with the rest, aside from Evil Apple being taken off the rotting tree.

Yes, Hall is a miles better prospect then O'Connell, but, Hall could go as early as 4th round now. He picked a QB in the 6th. I really can't see Hall making it that far down with rumors of teams loving him.

Don't be surprised if Hall slips to the sixth. He's twenty-five and has had a lot of injury issues in the past. Those are the reasons he may be there.

Hall will be long gone by our 6'th round pick. I'm not really looking for Stafford's replacement in this draft, just an improvement on Wolford will suffice for now. I think I can live with a cheap 1 year contract for Apple. Lew Nichols is likely a UDFA candidate. jmo.

Love 5c, Ford-Wheaton (WR). He’s big and fast. He would at least help STs in the immediate. One of my sleepers.

Nichols will be drafted, that I'm sure of. He's one of the few backs with three down potential late in the draft.

And I'd rather have Wolford and Perkins than O'Connell. O'Connell has a popgun arm, and he's not mobile enough for me.

Apple is a fucking cancer and a shit player that I want nowhere near the Rams.

I understand the reluctance for Eli Apple. Myles Jack might make for a nice rotational ILB, our current depth is severely lacking.

As for the two IOL, both can play Center as well as OG, so in the event that Allen is released as was earlier alluded by Jourdan Rodrigue as a 2023 CAP casualty, then we'll be sitting well for interior depth, that and Shelton may also become a CAP casualty for 2024.

I don't have a problem with the OP's projections. Looks as good as any to me. Although I'd be leery about trading Higbee. Unless they think they won't be resigning him and this year is a throw away anyway, then yeah, they should try to get something for him. But I would wait till the deadline approaches. If by chance they actually are in the playoff mix they're gonna need him. He's a decent pass catching tight end who is well balanced with blocking and receiving. And that is another position they are really shallow with.

Trade with GB:

36 for 42/116

Trade with Det:

42 for 48,152,159,183

Wait you can't trade 1 pick for 4 picks, I'm a draft guru and expert, regardless if Jalen Ramsey was traded for 3 picks that doesn't matter

I'm just one who finds it hard to believe that the Rams will be in any kind of play-off contention this season. We'll make some good draft picks imo, but I don't see 11 mostly late round picks and a large group of UDFA developmental types making up for our many lost veterans in a single season. Like our increasing 2024 CAP availability, I believe these new players will be far better prepared for the rigors of NFL life in 2024 and beyond. My moving Higbee is about increasing CAP savings and acquiring 2 new draft picks in the 4'th & 5'th rounds, and less about a deteriorating or slowing skill-set as he moves into his 30's and a contract year while looking towards 2024 free agency.
For 2023, I believe Hopkins, Hunter Long, a fairly early draft pick can get the job done. I'd also advocate for the return of TE/FB Roger Carter to fill out the unit. jmo.
