Labor Day Weekend MDA Telethon

I actually miss the Labor Day Weekend MDA Telethon with Jerry Lewis

Used to watch it as a kid all the time and still tried to catch some of it as I got older ,

I was sad when the MDA did away with Jerry Lewis about 4 years ago , and the telethon and just went to some 4 hour program on like TBS , or whatever channel it was

And now this , for the first time in forever , no televised MDA program what so ever this Labor Day Weekend , MDA fund raiser has gone strictly online

So even though I'm enjoying my three day weekend ( GO HAWKEYES !!! ) , a part of me is a little sadden

One of my favorite parts was when they would break from the main Telethon and go to one of your local stations , but like the dinosaurs before it ,after 49 years , the MDA Telethon has come....................and gone

And now we live in a world of countless TV station's , and the world wide interweb , I can't help but feel a little sadden

Me too. I miss Jerry Lewis. He and the telethon is a part of Americana...our collective soul...Heyyy Lady!
