Fox Sports lead play by play announcer Joe Buck says he is keeping a close eye on the Rams revival this season and is hoping Fox will give Buck and his broadcast partner, Troy Aikman, the chance to announce a Rams game before the 2012 season ends.

Doesn't it seem a bit disingenuous that suddenly Joe wants to announce a game now...now that they're starting to turn it around. He's from St. Louis and very well might be a Rams fan, but the fact is all of us here, on this board are Rams fans and all of us would have loved the opportunity to announce a Rams game even when they went 1-15. It just feels very bandwagony

I think it appears to be bandwagonish, but him and Aikman are the top 2 guys at fox. They do all the "big" games of the week. Fox probably tells them which games they will be working, which is usually a NFC East game.

Not to get ahead of everything, but after the RAMS beat the Vikings and the Bucs, then their game with the seacocks will have a definate playoff implication and could spur Fox to make it the game Buck and Aikmen announce. But first order of business it to take care of the vikings and AP this weekend.
