Hard to be sure as Jenkins often tweets in cryptic lingo that often make little sense to me. But seems fairly obvious.

http://www.turfshowtimes.com/2016/2...s-free-agency-janoris-jenkins-pissed-at-offer

e-signing Los Angeles Rams’ cornerback Janoris Jenkins might have been the team’s top priority heading into the 2016 offseason. And if they’ve already made him that offer, it appears he’s not all that thrilled with it.

Jenkins took to Twitter on Tuesday night to vent about what appears to have been a low-ball effort from the Rams [h/t @T_Bron]

Stay tuned! And not just for the remainder of free agency. Janoris may have more to say this evening, and we’ll be more than glad to keep you abreast of the situation.

Jenkins landed at No. 42 on Pro Football Focuslist of 2016 Free Agents. He dropped in at 28 on Pro Football Talk’s Top 100 list.

And if you were hoping the Rams’ efforts to lock up both Jenkins and Trumaine Johnson would be a seamless effort...buckle up.

How much, realistically, do you think he and Johnson could demand on the market? 13, 14 million a year? 5 year deals? I'm not sure what he thinks is lowball or is lowball for that matter? I don't think either of these guys would demand top 5 money. Maybe top 10 but I kind of doubt that too.

I didn't see a single thing in that that leads me to believe that an offer, any offer at all, was ever made. TST is really reaching with headlines to draw clicks with this one!

Jenkins always tweets like he has had three bong hits too many.

Make no mistake, IMO at least, if we don't lock him up, someone will throw big money his way.

Maybe Les "Used Car" Snead started off with a nice $7 million per offer to kick things off right... :rolllaugh:

I am thinking $12 for JJ, $10 for Johnson, $6 for Barron and $3 for McLeod.....but, those are just guesses on my part.

IMO your on target with Rodney, little high on Barron & me thinks that both those ex Ram CB's depart for bigger $$ elsewhere. Rams will pay market value for Tru & JJ but they will not throw all that future cap gold into this duo basket either. Like I said many times over the last two months very doubtful both CB's sign back. Demoff will not be played & is no fool to overpay here.

Rodney sign helps big out on the lost of both starting CB's. While Rodney is not high on the must sign list I think he will be the first to sign back. Rodney can play the Nickle corner well enough & has done it on a regular basis we just don't catch it often. Rams have some young safeties stashed who may yet bare fruit.

Rams are not destitute if they don't land both CB's as most think. Youngsters Gaines-Joyner & Roberson will have to fine tune up for big time action along with the high draft pick rookie. lets recall that both all three mentioned have a good number of starts under their belt were not green @ our corners without JJ & Tru.

I think at least one returns.
If they have to choose I am sure it would be Johnson over JJ. Will be interesting to see.

I agree X definitely unprofessional but it's not the first time he's done that on twitter. He also just retweeted this....

Meh I'd love to keep him but he's not all that. I'd rather save some dough and keep Tru anyways. I hope we sign Tru first so it will make any negation more leaning to the Rams. He'll go to a team with a crap D line and we'll see how much JJ gets burned and abused then.

Warning: incoming JJ love as the greatest CB of all time by @lockdnram21 !!

I too prefer Trumaine over JJ now by a wider margin as time moves on. If we recall Tru had lost his starting job completely to a rookie 6th rd draft pick :shocked:back in 2014 season. Yes Tru was injured (knee) early in pre season but even after he retained his full health EJ held onto his post. EJ Gaines was injured very late 2014 & that's when Tru returned to the lineup. EJ Gaines in 2015 Training camp was again back as starter over Tru until his broke down his foot. Tru got his chance one again to prove what he did in 2015. The ups & downs of the NFL.

Yep, some off season NFL Ram action just not on the field:) We have heard in many discussions over the last 4 seasons from both Snead & Demoff on their NFL team management philosophy on matters such as this. While we have not been successful in producing a winning team we have done well enough in contracts, cap & free agency. They have on many times brought out the New England approach plan...& us who follow the NFL know it very well.

Another good point on this UFA CB's issue is that Snead & Fisher have shown very well that they can find starting CB's besides the first & second days of the draft! A fact that Tru & JJ know well(y).

I've always had this feeling that Jenkins wants more than he's worth. I personally don't think he's worth $12 million a year. He's not consistent enough and he doesn't have the size. I'd much rather sign Johnson, who I believe has more upside, and sign him for less money.

3 mil for Rodney well below market. He will make around 5mil. Eagles already set the safety market pretty high with their Malcolm Jenkins extension even before guys like Weddle and Eric Berry get paid.

Barron is hard to project because he pretty much has his own position weak safety. So his market value is hybrid between SS and WLB so probably between Vontaze Burfict 4.75 million and TJ Ward 5.25.

3 CBs in this league are making 14 mil Sherman, Patrick Peterson, and Revis perennial all a pros and pro bowlers. If that is his number without accomplishing any of those things forget about it and lets move on. The tier under those elite guys is Joe Hadden another perennial pro bowler and he checks in at 13 mil a year. IMO our guys are not in that tier either. The tier they should fall into is Chris Harris 8.5mil to Byron Maxwell 10.5 mil. Being top corners on the open market they are probably going to land on the higher end of that spectrum.

Joyner, Roberson, and Gaines are developing we don't know what we have whereas we have developed Jenks and Tru and we know we have top notch corners in those guys. At least one will be back Fish loves defense and will not take that big gamble on the back end by hurting the overall talent level and depth.
