Todd Bowles is reunited with Arians in Tampa. That team has some talent and I expect that they make a difference coaching it. But my pipe dream was Wade retired and the Rams hire Bowles.

By the time the Rams are done this year most of the best DCs will be snatched up, so maybe my wish for Wade to retire won’t workout too well if he does.

Or maybe Greg Williams will still be out of work.
I dunno... who really knew much about McVay?

Is there a coach buried a little on another team that is to defense what McVay has been to offense?

We always tend to scour the "known names'... maybe a new approach is in order if Phillips retires or is let go.

at the game in London 2012 they were giving out stick-on Fisher staches at Trafalgar Square. There might be a picture of me and @UKram rocking the stashes

The one thing about Fisher were the defensive battles with the Hags that he managed to win some. They were always tense physical battles that had me on the edge of my seat. Another thing was how many times the Rams looked unprepared or/and uninspired to play on Sundays when they still had a chance.

This was a nice humanizing article of Jeff Fisher. I'm sure he could not find coaches willing to come to St Louis at least not until the end. He isn't going to get a whiff of being an NFL head coach again. He could make a good college coach or a defensive coach in the NFL. He seemed like a good match for the Rams at the time but, his lack of an offense made it impossible to become a contender. For me it's well past the time to let Jeff Fisher and his Ram's days become just a footnote in Rams history.

I skipped the novel sorry. But I liked Fisher, he just had some serious flaws and that’s why he failed. He couldn’t put together a coaching staff and had too much input especially on offensive personnel.

He could buy the correct ingredients, he just couldn't make the soup....
