You know I was kinda down on Jared yesterday and it’s all because I’m already used to stellar performances from him which is kinda bad on my part. He still had a hell of a day. He missed some wide open guys and wasn’t that pressured at times but he did enough to win which is the most important thing. F it.

Goff had a low percentage on his completion rate (54%) but his QB rating was 111.0. He faced a defense that came after him and basically shut down the running game to the right side. He hit Cooks and Woods on stride through tight windows, got the ball to Reynolds and Everett in key situations. I thought Goff played well under pressure. I'll take this kind of game in the playoffs.

Dude got sacked 5 tiimes, hit probably 20 times, and still put up a 111.0 passer rating.

There are ZERO QB's in NFL history that can take a beating during a game and not get rattled.

Goff stood in there and made the big throws when needed. Coaches did not help him yesterday.

We got to see Reynolds ability to become a good red zone target. Goff toughed it out and will be that much better once he gets his sure fire slot WR back.

Yeah. Took a few hits. Started staring down receivers early in the game. Had cooks wide open on one play sitting in a zone - wide open on the right sideline....threw a check down to Gurley and punted instead.

In these tight games, those are the plays that can be the difference makers.

Goff was tough yesterday for sure, but he's always shown that. McVay made an interesting comment in his post game presser and I had the same thought watching Jared in the second half. He said in the second half, it looked like things slowed down for Jared. When he got into a rhythm in the 3rd quarter he seemed like he was playing with much more urgency. His drop backs seemed quicker, his PA fakes were quick and he would get his head around faster. He seemed more decisive overall with his decisions and movement.

I'm not sure if the slow start was attributed more to GB out playing us early, or just getting stuck in all the 3rd and longs. But Jared played an amazing second half. Some of the throws he made were BIG TIME. Even at the end of the first half, the rollout off schedule throw to Cooks was amazing. The wheel route to Todd was a great touch throw. But in the 3rd he started dropping straight dimes on time and perfectly thrown. He had a drive or two where he was as sharp as the MIN game. Doing that after taking a beating early tells me a lot.

I don't think he played particularly well the three games prior, but looking back at last night Jared played his ass off. And he won't say it, but he wanted to beat Rodgers. BAD.

In one of the interviews it was mentioned that GB was doing stuff that the Rams hadn't seen on any tape going back all the way to preseason. In other words, GB game-planned the sh*t out of this game and it had the Rams a bit confused. While it took a little bit of time, the Rams...hats off to the coaching staff and the players...deciphered it and countered it.

He had ups and downs yesterday. Missed a couple throws and a wide open Cooks on the penultimate drive when GB switched to a deep zone on 3rd and long.

These kind of games can happen when the opposing coaching staff had a bye week leading into the game so that they have plenty of time to game plan against the other team, throwing all kinds of wrinkles into the game that the other team hadn't seen on any game tape. And the Rams still beat them. Damn, the Rams must be a really good team!

These are the kinda games we used to lose by halftime. But this team, from the coaches to the QB on down, gutted it out & stayed the course through a brutal first half to come out firing in the second. Limiting GB to 10 points, getting the juice flowing w/ the ST play, made a huge difference. We beat Aaron Stinking Rogers & a GB team with 2 weeks to plan for us, plus a coliseum half full of cheese heads, that says A LOT about who we are.

In this respect he reminds me of Warner, who would stand in the pocket and deliver the ball.

In Goffs defense, the play calling was not at its best. Our offense struggled to counter them playing in the nickel & dime. Screens, jet sweeps and outside runs to the left were there to be utilised.

McVay will learn from this and improve. As will Goff.

...plus, Cooper Kupp will be back soon. He is HUGE for Goff.

It just shoes how much the standards have been raised.
Before boy wonder, halftime adjustments meant nothing.

I have to say that it is pretty good when your QB ends the game with a 111.0 Passing Rating and people say he had an OFF Day! I am just guessing but I think there are a lot of fans from the other NFL Teams that wish their QB’s had some OFF Games like that! And, I am not knocking the Rams Fans that are saying this! I just think it is great that the Rams Fans (And, I am assuming the Rams Players & Coach’s as well!) have come to expect so much from Jared Goff!

300 yards, 3 touchdowns, 0 interceptions, and people think he had an off day? SMH.

Fact is, the Packers came off a bye, had 40000 fans in OUR stadium, and they came out the gates with PLAYOFF level intensity. It was a bit much for Los Ramos to handle in the 1st quarter.

Once that adrenaline wore off, it was clear which was the better team.

With that said, the bye comes late this year, and I think both the coaches and players are a bit gassed, particularly with all the injuries.
