What gets me about this article is how "open" it is... and I have to be honest, I feel a little disappointed in the Rams FO if they can let their 2nd round pick down like the article suggest, I thought the whole part of the new Rams belief was the Rams family...

BUT - it show's fantastic character that he didn't go blowing his money on drink & drugs, getting into trouble etc... and sometimes everything does feel dark, I'm sure these guys coming out of college, into the expected glamour of the NFL, they expect all of the glitz but don't realize that its also a lot of hard work, learning and training...

I think when he say's he doesnt want to be the starter - it's just that, remember Fisher wants runningback by committee approach, there won't be a said 'starter'

My advice is this tho: Someone needs to tell his grandparents to give his dog back to him - my dog died in February and I'm still down because of it - besides, with a dog you get out of your house more often, you meet other people, its one of the most sociable things to do and its great company
To me it sounds like an episode of major depressive disorder. This is what happens to those who have it. If he really was as down as the article suggested, I wonder why he didn't receive help. I hope that he at least is aware of what's going on and not letting his mood effect his play.

Dang, what a sad article. I expect him and/or Quick to really break out this year. My bet is on Quick though.

IMO, this article was written for the maximum depression impact. It highlights every single negative involved with Pead's rookie season. It doesn't elicit sympathy; only pity (the enduring image is of an unused rookie, throwing a tennis ball against the walls of a big empty house). Even the end of the article, with Pead talking about the upcoming season, doesn't hit any high notes. I came away from the article concerned about Pead's state of mind, which is not where a supposedly upbeat article like this is suppose to trend.

Because the author doesn't mention anything about the Rams coaches (and how could a piece like this not even mention any coach besides Fisher?), I'm going to ignore it.

At the time of the pick, I thought they took him a round too early. Articles like this do nothing to change my opinion on that. I can't imagine what he'll do if the Rams were to take a RB like Lacy in the first(my worst draft nightmare).
