Didn’t have anything better to do so I was watching the madden rankings and not that it matters but Stafford was way down the list. Like behind Dak at #10. It would be one thing if he was behind the young guns but Brady and Rodgers and Wilson are all ahead of him, hilarious.

Yes he's good
No Madden ratings don't matter any more than PFF rankings do

I was watching this thing and I’m thinking maybe I missed Stafford. I’m going down the list, he’s probably not #1, I’m looking looking, finally there he is, hilarious.

When I play Madden, I always adjust player ratings to make them more accurate in my opinion.

Save the rosters with the edited ratings; and use them in Franchise Mode and Gameplay.

Yes ... I need a life.

I listen to a lot of Sirius channel 88. It is their channel dedicated to the NFL. There are a lot of good shows on there, with a lot of people I respect in them. However, I have listened to a lot of the QB rankings and most have Stafford either slightly in or out of the top ten. I would definitely put Stafford in the top five. Am I crazy for thinking that?

At the end of the season there are only 2 QB accolades that matter. #1 - Super Bowl Champ QB and #2 - NFL MVP (which always goes to a QB). Everything else is a participation trophy.

QB rankings - like anything else - are subjective.

I would take the following QBs over Stafford

Mahomes
Rodgers
Burrow
Allen
Herbert

this is for various reasons - they're IMO better (Rodgers, Mahomes); they're as good but younger (Allen, Burrow, Herbert)

So I have Stafford at around number 6.

I would not, at this stage of their careers, put Prescott, Brady, Jackson, Murray above him.

Unless I'm forgetting someone obvious, there aren't any other QBs that even deserve a mention here.

There's only 1 QB who is currently the Defending Superbowl Champion

Screw Aaron Rodgers and the horse he rode in on. The others I would agree on because of age, but Rodgers is all about me not we, whereas John Matthew Stafford is about We!

I've kinda gotten over trying to figure out exact rankings.
That being said.. the guys I respect about football opinions have Stafford 6 or 7 and I'm fine with that.
I think the top 7 "tier" are the guys you comfortably feel could lead their team to a Super Bowl.

You can rank QBs all kinds of ways. I put Stafford in the Top 5 because of his toughness, arm strength, clutch play. And, by the way, he is the defending SB Champion QB.

I think a year from now, Matthew Stafford will be considered one of the best QB’s in the NFL. It’s possible that the Rams offense will rip up the league this year with more than one, one thousand yard receivers. For me the key will be the health and performance of Joe Noteboom and the resulting health of Stafford. And no, I would not take Rodgers over Stafford. Stafford is willing to make mistakes and risk INTS, unlike Rodgers I trust Stafford in the 4th quarter to do something amazing to achieve a comeback victory, while Rodgers is concerned about having low INT stats for his reputation. Stafford just wants to freakin win, stats be damned.

It pays off playing fantasy. You can get Stafford a few rounds lower than he should be and add another stud to your lineup.

I wouldn't take Rodgers. He's been an MVP so many times with good teams. The Packers won 13 regular season games three straight years (the last 3) and Rodgers has as many super bowl rings as Stafford who played only one year with a competent franchise. I believe, but could be wrong, but I think Stafford actually has a better winning percentage in the playoffs although he's played fewer playoff games than Rodgers.

I think Allen and Burrow can win super bowls and we know Mahomes is awesome, but Stafford is a great fit for the Rams, IMO.
