Exactly my thought.
Saffold has been stuck on bad teams for years and was stuck with a body that always fought him.
Has to mean so much to him to see the fruits from years of work.

I've been a Rams fans since Roman Gabriel was the QB. All the devastating losses in the playoffs. We would always win a game and then lost to Dallas or the Viqueens it seems. So many painful years of disappointment.

Flash forward to 1999 and we are looking good in pre-season and Trent Green goes down. I was devastated again. "We will rally around Kurt Warner".

When the Rams hoisted the Lombardi, I had to excuse myself from the SB party because I had an emotional moment.

I'm confident that McVay and Snead are going to get us a bunch of SB titles. I want to get used to being in the NFC championship game and Super Bowl. I think I could get used to it.
