If we get 3 more years out of Stafford, we will be lucky.
We might be lucky to get 3 more out of AD at this point too..

IDK what happens with Von and OBJ, but 3 years is a good estimate for what either has left...

Are the Rams facing a total rebuild around then?

How would you keep us competitive?

Regardless of how long our window can stay open, I want Sneads contract extended and locked in with us for at least 10 more years. As long he and Demoff are here, I like our chances at being able to avoid falling off a cliff when our QB and the GOAT are gone...

I think Matt will be around until he retires. So 3-5 years.

AD as I mentioned in another thread they need to reduce his snaps. Draft another big snot bubbler and have a strong run down rotation and use AD on key down/distance situations and passing situations. They need to do that and I bet we see that start happening at some point. Maybe not next year but it's coming as he starts to slow down if they want to maximize his bang/buck.

The only positions that really look to need a lot of work are OL and secondary. At least decisions and fresh blood or signed FAs. This roster looks pretty damn good even assuming a lot of guys leave.

If I had to give a window number then yeah I agree 3 years sounds about right. That might coincide with McVay moving on or up into the org or TV as well.

First, we just won the Super Bowl! Enjoy!
Second, if we can keep McSnead around, I'm not worried about it. While Donald should and likely will begin to diminish three years from now, he will still be effective. I believe the same can be said for Stafford.
Finally, we'll have first rounders again by that time and Les will go to work!
The NFL is and always has been a league very dependent on a strong owner coupled with great upper management on down. We have that right now. If that's in place, I honestly believe we'll be in the mix yearly with the idea of a "rebuild" simply not in the equation.

My two cents.

Everyone assumes McVay will do TV but his goal might be GM. Like his grandpa. So if/when that happens then you make room for him because he's going to excel at it.

I think the window is 5 years. QB's last longer than they used to, IF we invest in a serious Oline and quit going after WR's every draft, instead of Creed Humphreys of the Worl.

I've been saying for some time that AD is the window. He's the player who creates the possibility of championships. He could still be great when he's 35 if he really wants to be. But is he that driven?

He's been insanely driven since HS.

Hard to imagine he could turn that off before his body forces him to... but others have done it... have walked away...

But then we wouldn’t have all 150lbs of Tutu!

Get it together!

He didn't have kids and wasn't making tens of millions when he was in HS. Sometimes things change.

Not sure even AD knows yet what he really wants to do. Hopefully for the sake of football fans everywhere he'll keep going, especially now that he may finally get the recognition he has been due from the start.

As long as McVay can get a good QB here, they will contend to some degree. And I think as long as he is here he will make sure he has a solid to very good QB.

Well yes, he is obviously great, but if he was off the roster you could invest in two very good DL instead of one great one, and probably another player somewhere else.

Still not as good as having him, but his cap hit is a negative and you could take that fact and have it work for you by distributing that cap hit among multiple players.

This team will be a destination team for many players so whenever he does retire, that just provides more resources to replace him and others.

The window will be open for as long as we have a competent front office and coaching staff that is willing to put in the hard work and make the aggressive, innovative decisions other teams are too afraid to make

I think our window open as long as Stafford is our QB. If we keep him healthy and upright, that could be 3-5 more years.

Our window is open as long as these 3 guys are still on our team and healthy: Stafford, Donald, Kupp in that order. The day AD retires, we will take a big step back. Do we win that SB without him? I doubt it.

I'm enjoying the Rams Super Bowl Win!!!!!!!!

I've been thinking two solid years with the normal caveats. So many factors in this equation. Having a healthy Stafford, Kupp, AD, and Ramsey gives them a solid chance for two more years and maybe a third year should they all want to keep competing. I do think they need to keep Miller, OBJ, and Woods. There is also a lot of young talent on the Rams that could really develop to help keep the run going. I hope they can keep it going but, you never know. I'm grateful for this 2021-2022 NFL Championship.
