Who the hell knows. There's so much wrong, that it's almost miraculous when they overcome it all at once - like against New Orleans. Then it's almost expected when they let it all affect them - like against Seattle. The offense just flat out blows. Without pointing out anyone in particular, I'm not breaking any rules here. The unit as a whole just doesn't seem synchronous. Know what I mean? It's SO frustrating. Of all the losses this year, this one affected me the most. I can't even put into words how much I hate Pete Carroll's stupid face. I'd rather lose to the 49ers 80-3 than lose to the Blehhawks 21-20.squeaky wheel said:From the Saints triumph to this shitfest against Seattle...AT HOME.....how?

I had to give myself a significant cooling off period before I could even post here.
Oh, and I wouldn't bet on a Rams game anyway. Just out of principle. If they lose and I lose, then I lose. If they win and I lose, I still lose. If they lose and I win, then I'm just guilt-ridden. Got all that? Cuz I'm not sure I do.
Yep. A factory of sadness.squeaky wheel said:X said:Who the hell knows. There's so much wrong, that it's almost miraculous when they overcome it all at once - like against New Orleans. I hear ya.....at a minimum it's supposed to be entertainment......more often than not I'm pissed after watching.

Exactly! I'm glad I watched this game after work from DVR. I surely would have to be apologizing to family members today otherwise. This one took the wind out of my sails. Now, any wins this team manages to get the rest of this season will kind of piss me off because it will just screw up 2012 draft position. I HATE feeling that way!
Me too. Exactly like that. I don't care if the last game of the season decides whether or not they get the 1st overall pick. I'd still want them to wax whoever they're playing. That's not a knock on anyone else. I'm just not a fan of playing football for the draft. Fuck that. Just win.JdashSTL said:Meh. Im not too worried about that. If we get a couple more wins and that makes us lose out on a chance for Matt Kalil, I wont care much. We should be getting a good player no matter what lol. Rams wins are such a good feeling for the rest of Sunday aftenoon. I can really enjoy watching the SNF highlights, and then we get to look forward to a "victory monday."
I remember the days when all that I could enjoy was watching individual play, without regarding the score. I was big into defense, and still am, so I’d get excited about Chris Long or Leonard Little and still later Aaron Donald. I remember getting excited about Adam Carriker, thinking we’d finally solved the drought of having a good DLineman/DT (especially). Boy was I wrong about him!God bless all of you Rams fans that stayed loyal during the days of threads like this.
Remember the good.. errrr bad old days?
Sean McVay's Rams blueprint emulates 49ers dynasty
McVay turned to his grandpa years ago and asked former 49ers general manager John McVay what it took to obtain a sustained level of success.
"He said 'because our best players were the example of what it looked right to do right and everybody else fell in alignment because that was the standard and nobody was above that,'" the elder McVay said.
Something else uncommon in the NFL has been the Rams' rapid rise from a tepid team in the cellar of the NFC West to a perennial power.
The difference with McVay and past coaches is that McVay "held people accountable." Donald said that accountability -- and bringing in other great coaching minds -- is what led the team to the Super Bowl.
McVay's 49ers were 108-34-1 during his nine-year tenure as general manager. The 49ers won three Super Bowls and went to the postseason every year.

The other sad part was that -X- used to post here much more than he does now. I kinda miss him.LOLOLOLOL
Part of being a fan is The Suffering... at least that's what I've learned being a Ram Fan for damn near 50 years. I always just told myself that it built character... lol.
All teams go through their bad times. Seems like we've had to deal with more of our fair share though.
Reading a flashback from 2011 like this reminds me to stop and smell the roses right now. Times like these make The Suffering seem very far in the rearview mirror... but don't take em for granted.
The Fisher King days
Yes, the Draft was our Super Bowl. Hope was all we had at this time of year, wondering if the new Draft pick would change everything. It never did until the Gurley/Donald drafts helped to get us to respectability.Actually, that was the Spags days in 2011. Which led to the Fisher days. Which of course led the the McVay era. Gawd, if anyone is entitled for some good things from the football gods, its us. They owe us big time. I remember when the biggest debate was the old tank for better picks vs trying to win. Draft day was more fun than the season.
