It cracks me up that anyone could question the job Williams is doing. The defense started slowly, however they have systematically improved game by game. They toughened up the run defense more than I've seen in a LONG time. They are becoming actually good at stuffing the run.
The pass defense is coming around now too, as well as the LB play. This defense is coming on strong, and they just held the 9ers to 10 points. If anything, GW needs some credit for what he's done IMO. By the time this season is over we're gonna see a better defensive performance than we've had in many years.
Some tough games coming up too, so I can't wait to see how this defense handles those offenses.
