Russell is not leaving Seattle, however, if Chicago was a destination I would vote for him to go there because that is where Quarterbacks go to die!

This is my favorite line from the Bears breakdown of their QBs:

"Finally, we have Andy Dalton in 2011, who is the averagest quarterback ever. That’s good enough to make him the second greatest quarterback in Bear history. "

Honestly I see the midget going to Dallas... I doubt the Bears do it? They have 1sts again after the Mack trade yet? 3 years ago right?

I pull for Wilson when he’s not playing against the Rams. Mostly because he’s from a private school 5 miles from where I live. With that said Carroll and the Seahawks have bent over backwards to support him even at the expense of dividing the team. So I find it a little ungrateful that he would announce a desire to play for other teams. In private I get it but not out in public.

If he didn't have a no trade clause, the Seahawks should try to swap him for Watson. That could be a straight up swap without many pics involved.

Man I'd rather he not go there as that can tip the balance in the NFC East for them and I can't stand obnoxious Cowboys fans getting too excited.

I would do it for the Jets pick IF they think the BYU kid is the real deal.

You get a QB on a rookie deal plus multiple other first and 2nd rounders.

Seattle could look at it as they will not be a complete team until they get more help and cap room even with Wilson.

So you dump a huge contract, add picks, and one of them is your next talented QB.

It's not that crazy.

I just read that story in the Athletic on Wilson and the Seahawks. That seemed spot on. Sherman and Thomas were pissed because Wilson was being coddled, while Pete always preached that everyone has to work to keep their job. They also felt that nobody was keeping Pete in check either. But what we are seeing now is the result of Wilson being coddled.

What I thought was really interesting is that the thing driving Wilson is that he wants to be in the conversation as one of the greats, like Brady and Brees. But, Pete blames Wilson for the turnovers and the poor Oline blocking because he scrambles too much. Russell wants an Oline overhaul. He got worked up again while in Tampa watching the Superbowl and seeing all the time that Rodgers had to throw. Wilson is close to Brady and Brees but not quite in that tier. He may just have to accept it or he will always have trouble and become more bitter as years go by. I didn't know he was like this. It really sounds like a me me player. Sherman and a few others said this a few years ago. I thought it was just sour grapes.

Report: Russell Wilson stormed out of meeting after his suggestions were dismissed

Russell Wilson’s issues with the Seattle Seahawks has been one of the big stories of the NFL offseason. But apparently the issues have been brewing since the regular season.

The Athletic published a story on Thursday about Wilson’s relationship with the Seahawks. The entire story contains great details and amazing depth. It is well worth your time.

The gist of the story is that Wilson envisions himself as one of the all-time great quarterbacks and wants a greater say in the organization. He thinks the offense should be tailored the way he wants and that the team should take his input on personnel decisions. On the other side, Pete Carroll is committed to playing football a certain way that has worked throughout his career: run the ball, no turnovers, explosive offense.

The Seahawks lost consecutive games in the regular season, with Wilson turning the ball over seven times in those two games. Carroll freaked out over all the turnovers.

After those losses, to Buffalo and the Rams, Wilson had some suggestions for what the offense could do.

The Athletic describes what happened in a meeting:

“In the meeting, he outlined his own ideas for how to fix the offense. His suggestions were dismissed, multiple sources told The Athletic — another reminder to Wilson that the Seahawks did not see him the same way he saw himself, as a player who had earned greater control over his situation, his future, his legacy.

“He stormed out of the room.”

Perhaps The Athletic exaggerated things slightly, but that’s the gist.

The Seahawks ended up firing offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer over philosophical differences. Now there’s all kinds of talk about Wilson wanting a trade.

If Wilson wants more say in personnel decisions, Aaron Rodgers should tell him to join the club. If he wants a better offensive line, he should ask what areas of the team he would like money to be taken away from.

There is no doubt that Wilson is an excellent quarterback. Carroll is also an excellent coach. They have done great things together. They would probably be best off figuring out how to continue working well in the future, but it seems like Wilson might want to see what he could do somewhere else.

I wonder if as he stormed out he yelled ..."Go Hawks!"

Of course I guess now he is telling the Hawks where to go...
