Goff truly has made a quantum leap from last year to this year. We are winning close games and Goff is making plays. The pass to Gerald Everett was amazing and in a clutch situation. I think Goff has made a huge leap from last year to this year where I can feel Iike we can win any game that's close. It also keeps us within reach of home field advantage if the saints slip up.

And we get Taib back in two weeks. I'm stoked.

Think about this. Goff lost his top WR in Kupp.

Then against the Chiefs Goff had 7 TD's.

But Cooks dropped one and Reynolds didn't get his foot in by an inch.

In the Entire NFL - Goff: 1st in Yards per pass, 2nd in yards, 3rd in TD.

Number one thing I wanted to see Goff improve upon was his performance during crunch time in a close, excruciating game.

Today will help his confidence during a similar situation in the playoffs.

I'd add super amazing and super clutch. Less than 2 minutes, no time outs, biggest game of the year, and Goff drops it in, perfectly in stride to Everett. It can't get better than that, can it?

yeah, crazy.

when i saw cooks drop it i was in disbelief. how many times do you see him drop the ball after he has it firmly in his hands?

then the reynolds one as they were showing the replay i was like this will be a td when the ball hit his hands, then he was sloppy in getting his second foot down. something for him to work on. should have been a td easily.

He was tough , took a few hits and kept getting up

He fumbled at the goal line, then drove his team down the field and scored the game winning TD.

Jared is clutch and I am so happy hes our guy

I thought he dropped it too, until looking closely at the replay. It was just great timing by the DB with the strip move. Definitely NOT a drop.

I'm glad 12 came back strong after going to the locker room after that play too. Had me worried. Players dropping like flies lately...

The dback knocked it out of his hand. It was a good defensive recovery after Cooks head beaten him.

He didn't have his best stuff, He took a beating, we fell behind and had injuries Gurley being a huge one and he fought back and prevailed matching Mahomes the all world and bragged about NFL Ketchup darling.
He is Impressive and a great quiet leader.

And this is on a night when his accuracy was off. He threw a few into the ground and over threw a few to wide open guys. But when he needed to he new he could do it and he did.

No QB is 100% in those late game pressure situations. But the greats all have a roster of those type of wins under their belt. When that drive started everything was scripted for him and Jared came through big time and notched that belt.

We're watching the beginning of a great QB career and goddamn it feels good.

yeah i know the db knocked it out of his hands. that's what i meant when i said he had a firm grasp of the ball. seen dbs try to knock the ball out of his hands many times when he's making a catch to no avail.

Agreed. Goff was average in that game. He's had better games this year. But when we needed it, he made a perfect throw and read.

All 4 of his TDs required bull's eye execution, without the accuracy all 4 of those scores are a 50\50 td:int situation. Great touch with first two touchdowns. Great bullets on 2nd two. Every time he releases the ball I expect a reception unless it's a bomb. He continues to be fearless/effective in the presence of pressure.

He's officially 'out' as a future star. In two nationally televised games vs quality opponents this season he's put up:
878yds
9td(1rush)
and most important ZERO picks!

He is a huge force in this team obtaining mission impossible: acquiring a reliable and intense fan base. Last night was by far the best performance of the 12th Ram!

JG is successful game manager just as much as he's a gun slinger. I never expected this kind of sucess. Hopefully he is driven by his national popularity and not destroyed by it.

Bummer about Kupp but this opens up the field and opportunities for Higbee\Everett \Reynolds. TEs can not be ignored! If Goff\Gurley \and 4\5 OL are healthy in playoffs great things just might happen. Goff is the most important weapon if Super Bowl dream becomes reality. I can't see this team rallying around any other QB...Gurley \Woods\Cooks\Whitworth\Saffold can all be replaced with confidence. Yes I said Gurley. As amazing as he is, Malcolm Brown is trusted and whoever backs him up might end up being a secret weapon?

I just pray we are not the Marty Schottenheimer\Norv Turner coached Chargers of this generation!

For the record, I gotta confess I'm officially calling bullshit on the bar scene in Mexico. 90% certain that was unnecessary propaganda and simply a bar in southern California....

Love every thing about Goff. He’s so calm and cool under pressure and doesnt let a bad play rattle him. Hes also not a douche like some other QB from Cal. He reminds me of Joe Montana being a skinny humble kid who just does his job and makes pinpoint throws to his playmakers. Goff and McVay are the new age version of Montana and Walsh.

This is what really amazes me. I mentioned it a couple of times yesterday in the Chat room. After the strip sack/fumble TD I was worried that he might dwell on the error but he came right back and fired in a perfect pass to Cooks and followed it up with a gem to Everett to put is front for the final time.

This kid has ice in his veins and I couldn't be happier we have him as our QB.

I have gotten to a point where I expect to see amazing accuracy from Goff. When I saw him throw 3-4 bad balls I thought the Rams were going to be in a tough spot and something was a little off by Goff this night. Man - did he fool me - as he came alive when needed and was actually close to a couple more TDs (Cooks drop, Reynolds oob). He is not only very talented - he has ice in his veins which is amazing to see from such a young QB. As Rams fans - we are truly blessed to have Goff as our QB!!
