My father in law made a terrific pot roast dinner.

My wife and I made a huge pot of split pea soup and a few jars of home-made pickles and that was our gift to her family.

But for the rest of this weekend I am not sure what we are doing.

I am hoping I can convince her to do a dutch pancake for breakfast tomorrow.

What do you all have planned for the Seahawks game? I may need inspiration.

Thinking a big old charcuterie board tonight - meats, cheeses, pickles, bread etc. And lots and lots of red wine!

No idea what I will do for tomorrows games yet...

After a couple of large meals, just hors d'oeuvre's today or as my wife simply puts it finger foods. We had my family on Christmas Eve, my wife's yesterday and today my son, his wife and our beautiful Granddaughter (1 year & four months) as we practice what we preach.

We decide to do our Christmas routine over 3 days. There are just 3 of us here for Christmas (my wife and son)... We aren’t going anywhere anyway... So, my wife is cooking a small turkey and some sides today.

Sunday’s menu might be soup from that.

We ate meatloaf on Christmas because it was easy. We had a lazy Christmas day that way. lol.

Gonna have leftover honey-baked ham, hopefully some sauced apples, and possible gooey butter cake (as I'm getting leftovers from my folks and I'm likely going to eat the leftover Santa cookie.)

The Dutch baby my wife made was incredible. New recipe to us that will be going in the cookbook.

Pretty much going with the same thing as I did with the Dead Birds. Taking leftover turkey, and pulling it into crockpot. From there adding some Franks Red Hot sauce to spice it up, but this time adding some red onions, red bell pepper, chopped garlic, and mushrooms that I had extra from making my dressing on Christmas. I'll put that in a low carb wrap with some good cheese and hungarian hot wax peppers. Not adding any Jays Red Ghost to it, as I'm expecting company. If I need to heat it up, I'll add some powder to my wrap.

I have 3 different cheeses provolone, colby jack, and pepper jack. Go good on wraps, but am going off diet somewhat and eating cheese, hard salami, and braunschweiger on Ritz crackers. Will also have a jar of homemade spicy bread and butter pickles and Hungarian hot waxes to snack on. I'll be living like a Pagan.. lol.

Will prolly make a medium pot of chili too. Have to work 3 days next week since we are on plant shutdown, so I need something for lunch.

Also, many Mich Ultras, Bud Light Platinum's, and Reyka vodka (ice cold) for shots when we score TD's. Still have the LSD strain 420, but have added some wedding cake strain. It not bad at all. I hate Illinois gov't, but glad they legalized. Hope all my Ramily has a great day and we get us a win. :cheers2:

Edit. On the above.. I'm doing nothing fancy, but most times the best foods are quite simple. Just saying. :cheers2:

You need to be using Hungo's for those hot pepper wraps instead of Jalapeno's. :cheers2:

I haven't had braunchweiger in a long time. My Dad used to bring it home for a treat every once in a while.

Reyka vodka
It's so good. A friend turned me onto it a few years ago and it has all but replaced Tito's in my house. I still like me some Tito's, but the Reyka seems to finish cleaner (not as sweet) and I rarely have a headache after drinking too much of it, haha.

Would be cool as hell to visit that distillery.
