That's a good reason. I just don't like what it teaches fans about football. Makes it seem like a player's value is directly tied to his statistical output in fantasy terms. And it's clear a lot of people buy that when you discuss football with them.
Well, those are probably the fans that just don't really understand football anyway. You can find quite a few people who know the difference between fantasy and real football. Heck, within fantasy football there are so many different scoring systems that it makes a guy like Reggie Bush (PPR leagues) one of the top RBs, or (standard scoring leagues) a guy that shouldn't be more than your 3rd running back.
Anyways, I have two different perspectives here. I am 28, but manage 11 people in a production environment.
People, in general, will slack off if given the chance and are either unhappy with what they're doing or have poor leadership. The $13 billion dollars lost - is all on the companies because this is something in their control. People in production environments don't usually slack off because they don't have time. The corporate world is filled with people who seemingly lack the fundamental moral compass needed for their lofty position and pay, and it disgusts me. But that is another conversation.
And Den - I also don't understand talking on the phone while in the bathroom - particularly a public bathroom - but I always have my phone with me when going to the bathroom. Great way to multi task and pass the time.
