I will limit myself to 1 and hopefully some of you will offer your own:

The Rams have been consistently competitive in every single game.

Through 14 games, the Rams have not entered the 4th Qtr trailing by more than 1 score.

Being a Defensive minded Fan, I LUV the Fact the Rams are #2 in the League in Sacks with 47 sacks! I hoping we can over-take the #1 Jag's who have 51 sacks!! Against the Titans & 9ers it's possible!!

We need 62 points over the final two games to reach 500 points on the season. A feat not done since the GSOT.,

I’d also like to add, we would be only the 18th team in nfl history to score 500 points. We’re making history folks.

These stats don't mean anything but are interesting comparison to Philly. Just some numbers arguing that Rams are having a better season despite record.

Of Rams 10 victories:

Record of opponents: 61-79 (.436)
Points scored: 366 (36.6 pts per win)
Points surrendered: 169 (16.9 pts per win)
Point Differential: +197
Average Margin of Victory: 19.7 points

Rams wins are nearly 4 possessions per games in a league ~50% games are won by 7 points or less

Of Rams 4 losses

Record of opponents: 37-19 (.661)
Points scored: 72 (18 pts per loss)
Points surrendered: 110 (27.5 per loss)
Point Differential: -38
Average margin of defeat: 9.5 points

Philly:

Games won: 12
Record of opponents: 60-84 (.417)
Points scored: 374 (31.17 pts per win)
Points surrendered: 228 (19 pts per win)
Point differential:+146
Average Margin of Victory: 12.17

Games Lost: 2
Record of opponents: 16-12 (.571)
Points scored: 30 (avg 15 per loss)
Points surrendered: 51 (avg 25.5 per loss)
Point differential: -21
Average Margin of defeat: 10.5

Let it not be forgotten that the Rams were the first team EVER to score 500 points in a season, and are the ONLY team to ever do it in consecutive seasons.

Well actually, the Vikings did score 556 in 1998
and are the ONLY team to ever do it in consecutive seasons.
Well....... The Patriots did score 500+ in 3 consecutive seasons 2010-2012....
But hey, who's checking? (y)

They were the first team to score 500+ in 3 straight though!!

I would love to know how many times on opponents opening drives that Th have forced a turnover on defense?

I swear it seems like every game.

I wonder what that stat tells us about Wade Phillips and this group, if anything, and how it compares to the record.

It seems like a lot of work to figure out lol

Rams will score over 500 points with half (8) of those games showing mercy and not trying to score at the end, if all goes as planned the last two games.

Rams may go into playoffs with all but 1 starter.

Truthfully, the way the Jags have been "Sack-City' all Season, for the Rams to be #2 behind them is just Fantastic!! But it would be "Icing-on-the-Cake" to catch up-to them!!(y);):yess:

Damn, you're right. For some reason I thought the Rams had scored over 500 points once in the 1950's, but it looks like the Dolphins were actually the first to do so from my internet searching.

Still, Rams were the first to do it in consecutive seasons, so there's that ...

Sorry, not true. 1983 Redskins, 541 1984 Dolphins 513, 1994, Niners 505 points. 1998 Vikings 556, 1998 Broncos 501. Rams have scored 500 points 3 times. 1999, 2000 and 2001.

The second part is true.

Only 3 times in the last 20 years has the NFL highest scoring team won the Super Bowl. Not a good sign.

Yeah you are right.

How does it look when that highest scoring offense has the #1 special teams and a top 5-10 defense?

Most Super Bowl winners have a top 10 defense in points per game. It's almost a requirement to win. Only 8 Super Bowl winners had a defense out of the top 10 in ppg. The average for the Super bowl winner is 4.3 in ppg for offense and 4.0 in ppg for defnese. For the loser, its 5.5 for offense and 4.3 for defense. There is a caveat. If they are outside the top ten in ppg on defense they almost exclusively step up their game in the playoffs. Example is the 2011 Giants. They were 25th in ppg during the season,(25 ppg.) but during the playoffs they held their opponents to 14 ppg.
