Mike Florio talks to FNIA’s Tony Dungy about Peyton Manning’s return to the practice field at Duke, his future with the Colts, and the ongoing bounty controversy in the NFL. Mike talks to Rams GM Les Snead about what they intend to do with their second overall pick in the Draft and their contingency plan for whatever happens to defensive coordinator Gregg Williams who is under fire for running the bounty program in New Orleans and possibly other cities. Mike also breaks down the Saints and Packers offseason to do lists.

Many think it’s a given that the Rams will trade the second overall pick in the 2012 draft. G.M. Les Snead says it’s not.

But it’s close.

Snead told PFT Live on Monday that the team is “90 percent” sure to trade out of the No. 2 spot.

Teams have called, but the Rams aren’t talking about who has talked to them about talking turkey on a trade. Snead wouldn’t rule out the possibility of trading the pick in the division, although he acknowledged that a premium would be required to get the Rams to ship the second selection to a team like the Seahawks or Cardinals.

Snead also said that the Rams talk on a daily basis about the timing for pulling the trigger on the trade. We (or at least I) continue to think that it makes sense to wait for some of the big-name veterans to join new teams, which will put extra pressure on the teams that haven’t addressed their needs.

Other candidates to possibly make the move include the Browns, Redskins, and Dolphins.
