Personally, I prefer the 3rd Seed for the below reasons:

1) I have a very difficult time EVER hoping the
Rams lose a game.
2) I would rather see the Rams play in the
Vikings stadium than than the Eagles.
3) I think there is a very good chance the
Saints can beat the Eagles which I THINK
could setup a NFC Championship Game
between the Rams and Saints in Los
Angeles!

I prefer they be as healthy as possible for the first playoff game in a long long time. I do not care what seed we are just that we are there.

A loss today and were probably looking 2 road games in Philly then either Minnesota or new orleans.

A win today and were looking at 2 home games, including the NFC Championship, assuming we beat the Vikings in the divisional round.

Minority opinion, but I prefer the 4 seed because I want to play Iggles in second round and avoid Vikes if possible.

Have a feeling McVay might feel the very same way....Only issue is playing the Eagles in cold weather, but that Viking defense is the best in the NFL, IMHO.

Yeah, I think if McVay truly preferred the 3 seed he’d not rest some completely healthy starters.

Doesn't really matter to me. Whomever we face in the first round will be difficult, but I'm confident we come away with a win. The intensity of play will ramp up for sure. The big thing is whomever, we play in the first round, will be beat up a bunch because they have a big game today. Second round will be a very hostile atmosphere. We lost to both teams, and I believe it will be extremely difficult for them to beat us again. We have been road warriors this year, so I'm confident we will play well at either venue. But first things first. Put the Whiners away today, and let's get ready for the playoffs.

I just can't buy the thought that any head coach would even consider who or where the second game in the playoffs is played when the first game is yet to be played. You take them one at a time. We have a home game and that is all he can count on. With that in mind, he has some banged up and tired players that he wants in the best condition as possible for the only game that is guaranteed. Then with that decision made, with some key starters out, that dictates Goff being out. Now he game plans to win with what he has made available. That is it. End of story.

Well said, but I disagree. I think McVay and staff have put a huge amount of thought into every possible path in the playoffs.
Also, I heard that Woods and Watkins and other (mostly) healthy starters might get limited snaps as well. The point being, McVay is not terribly invested in the Niner game. JMHO.
I honestly think McVay prefers the path ahead as the 4 seed, but I acknowledge that is just speculation.
McVay is a modern coach and trusts that his players will treat this as essentially a preseason game but know how to turn the switch back on for the playoffs.

I hope McVay knows what he's doing because the Saints might be coming to town.

McVay has shown all year he knows what he’s doing.

And as of now (27-6 3rd q) it’s pretty obvious that McVay did not want the 3 seed as much as many on this board.

Would rather face the Vikings in the 2nd round rather than the Eagles which means 3 seed is what I prefer. Still not sold on Keenum.

Couldn’t disagree more. Have you seen Foles play the last 3 games?
Exactly why I prefer the 4 seed, glad it’s heading in that direction.
