Does anyone have that feeling that the if they did move up in the draft it could be for a defensive player. Jack or jaylon Smith? Even with everyone talking about a qb. It just wouldn't shock me. Would it surprise any of you?

I don't know if I get that feeling but it wouldn't surprise me. A lot of people would go into meltdown if they moved up into a position where they could get Goff or Wentz only to take someone else entirely. I think I'd probably be one of those people if I'm honest.

Yeah, a trade up for a D player would surprise me, cheeram.

Given our needs on O at QB, WR, and TE, just to name a few.

At some point, doesn't Fisher have to feed his #32 ranked O?

However, I will say this. If a stud D player fell into our laps at 1.15, yeah, I could see S&F grabbing him. If a Donald or Gurley type talent falls into your lap, you've simply gotta take him. But such a gift falling to us 3 years in a row is certainly unlikely, huh?

Really need a edge rusher. Double digit sack guy. Hayes is good but not that guy at his age. This D needs pressure off the edge to work right.

I wouldn't be surprised, but I'd be angry. Issue is, they've proven that they go BPA in the first round every year. Other than Greg Robinson, when have any of us fans accurately predicted who this regime would draft? And Robinson only because it was the 2nd pick in the draft, which is pretty easy to guess.

Brockers, Tavon, Ogletree, Robinson, Donald, Gurley

I remember Jrry predicting Donald and a ton of people wanted Tavon, but most thought that Donald wouldn't fall to us and that Tavon was out of our reach.

We've seen it all with this regime...but one thing that really stands out to me is that they get their guy. With the exception of Donald (who they were just stunned fell to them), they went and got every other 1st round pick...or traded down knowing those guys could still be had. They had a plan for a player, and they made it work on draft day.

I suppose that should actually make us feel good about getting a QB....if that's the direction they want to go. But if I had to guess, based on this regime's first round success, it would be a list of priorities like this:

Planned trade up with a team if QB is there (Ravens maybe?)...if QB is not there...
BPA that shouldn't fall to them (probably a DE?) if the 14 best players are picked within the first 14 picks..
Fall back option (maybe a WR they like?)

I could definitely see the Rams taking a corner in fact I would lock it in if Hargreaves was on the board. Not saying I like it, but it would offer another clear cut BPA situation like Donald I don't see the Rams passing up.

Trading up for a defensive player would be asinine. There is simply no other way to put it.

I have no problems with them going defense at 15 IF Lynch is gone. Why? BPA is going to be a defensive player which typically is the smart choice. They might still be looking at Shaq Lawson and if he's there in that scenario I take him.

But moving up and wasting picks in a draft where we need offense? Hell no.

I don't think a trade up for a defensive player is likely. Non of the edge rushers look elite and it is very deep for corners and DTs. I don't think a guy like Jack would be worth moving up for because of the LB situation and just resigning Barron. I think they are happy there for this year. However, I could see them taking Jalen Smith at 15 and in a year putting him at MLB and not resigning Ogletree due to cap reasons. Plus many say Jalen Smith would be in the conversation for number 1 overall. How do the Rams turn down that kind of talent at 15?

I can not see the rams trading up for a defensive player, if they stay still at 15 and must go defense I wouldn't mind one of the linebackers (smith or jack, although I think jack will go top 5) or another pass rusher. I think we are good at cornerback, Tru, Gaines, and Joyner are more than capable. BUT I STILL SAY GO AFTER A WR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only Defensive player that I would be interested in moving up some for is CB Vernon Hargreaves. We certainly do not need a LB'er with the strong likely-hood of the resigning Alec Ogletree to a long term contract along with the resent WSLB'er long term signing of Mark Barron. Jack Myles is the best by far here but will likely be a top 5 pick & will not fall out of the top 10 plus Jack is a WSLB'er & so is Jaylon Smith. Rams most likely will have two veteran WSLB'ers are ready here with one playing MLB'er. But if Jack did fall (highly unlikely) I would change my mind because he could play a half dozen positions if needed.

But if the OT's/QB's/DE's & Ramsey go heavy as expected it stands to cause a drop with the CB Vernon somewhere close above us where a less expensive trade up would be worth it. Fisher has CB's Trumaine Johnson & Marcus Roberson both will enter free agency one again inless than a year & if Tru decides he wants a better contract than what JJ got then having Vernon here sure takes the pressure off the Org. So Vernon can be teamed with EJ Gaines in 2017. As we see top CB are getting serious silly money.

Why do you call him Jack Myles? I'm just curious...

Jack as a last name is just plain wrong IMO. I like the sound of it backwards. Jack as a last name is very unusual. Some real good football names in this draft.

But I just feel real good that a outstanding defensive player could fall right into our laps if we stay @ #15. Then on day two & three attack the WR/TE/OC positions the rest of the draft

I'd blow a gasket if we trade up for anybody but Ramsey because of his amazing talent. Honestly Fisher and Snead aren't stupid, they know to have a Defenseb like the want it they have to have some type of competent offense to be self sufficient. We need a QB and WR and maybe a TE or C to basically make our O competent with talent and won't put our D in bad situations as was the usual situations the last few years.

We all saw what a great defense and no offense looks like this past season.
I shudder just thinking about what could have been in the Pittsburgh, Green Bay, Baltimore games.
A QB is the difference between 7-9 and 10-6 playoff bound. Do Fish and Snead really need more examples? It would be downright idiotic to move UP and NOT grab a QB.

So if they drafted Noah Spence at 15 sounds like we would be ok with that. I would.

Not if Doctson was available!!!
Josh Doctson is my #1 WR as a outside wide out to team with Kenny & with Tavon in the slot. I sure see no reason to select LB'er Noah Spence under any circumstances on day one.

I do not see Josh as a true #1 wide out though but he is a good #2. If I was going to use a top 15 pick on a WR he better have a true #1 wide out ceiling. I would not consider Josh Doctson a top 15 draft selection. Josh would be an outstanding #43 rd. selection but a bad #15 pick. If he is there @ #43 I making that pick. Josh as a Ram would be a very good thing where Josh could replace Kenny Britt in 2017 after Kenny Britt enters free agency as a UFA. Good budget maneuver.
