Big day! Started out with a few picks. Traded a bunch of times and got a few different picks :D

Taylor Rapp S Washington

Looks to be the eventual successor to Weddle and in the mean time will likely be the 3rd safety in those sets that Wade loves to put 3 out on the field. Can't help but feel this guy immediately upgrades our secondary.

Darrell Henderson RB Memphis

Playmaker! Looks to be depth behind Gurley and company. I'm betting he takes over return duties and we part ways with Natson who provided almost nothing outside of returns.

David Long CB Michigan

Might be my favorite pick! It's no secret I think we were in need of young talent at this position. Has the ability to play right now in the secondary and could succeed Talib when he's done. I also don't think this is the end of CB picks for us.

Bobby Evans T/G Oklahoma

Not somebody that was on many if any radars around here. Also the only player we drafted that we didn't work out. From what we're seeing and reading looks like the arch type Kromer Guard. Big strong and mean which could mean he's a bench guy this year and takes over for Noteboom next year or Blythe?

So what do you guys see for tomorrow? My list is simple. Another CB I think it's necessary as the talent behind the starters IMO is lacking. Edge with Fowler signed to one year it would possibly be somebody to compete with a pick next year and Obo. A G/C again we're likely needing 2 guards this year and the front offices MO is to draft for next year. Potentially an ILB with Littleton only signed to the 1 year tender and he could with another good year get signed to a fat raise. WR? We likely have our return specialist but depth is never a bad thing. And QB, Bortles signed to 1 year and who's behind him?

Thoughts?

All Rams picks are high IQ, tough, football smart X's and O's type guys with lots of college starts. Maybe could have done better, but hard not to like how these guys help bench depth.:boxing:

Nice assessment OS.

Linebacker for sure, more OL depth, but probably late, or UDFA, unless we go C. More secondary help. We will probably draft a big guy on D. I, also think we will either draft, or pick a late WR.

Inside linebacker? Highly doubtful Littleton and Kiser look to be there.
Nowadays base defense is a pass defense. Rapp works well as the third safety in a big nickle. Much like Barron. Call the position what you want. Barron was not a traditional ILB.

Disagree. I think between Matthews playing inside sometimes, and the Rams using a safety package much of the time, that Kiser gets a lot fewer snaps than many think, even if they don't draft or sign a true ILB. Rapp is an excellent prospect for the three safety role that reduces ILB play.

I was surprised to see them wait so long to take an OL and no DL. Does this mean Shu is returning?

I just watched video on the Henderson kid. Wow. Great burst and top speed. Can make difficult catches and hard to catch from behind. I’m pretty impressed. I think he’s a keeper. I can’t wait to see what the rest of these new guys look like.

Does Henderson have experience returning punts or kickoffs?

Yes..

Henderson returned a kick for a TD as a Freshman...

he returned kicks through his Junior year....

I'm sure as he become more a part of their offense, they pulled back on that... but I'm sure we're going to use him there

I think we too need a G/C, or at the very least OG of some sort. Yes Natson is likely gone, but with injuries he’ll find temporary jobs. We still need depth on the Dline, and Brockers can look forward to lining up across from the center. And more good depth is needed in our corners. And an ILB. Well that takes care of the last four picks, so my work is done here.

Rapp looks like the #3 safety, bumping Christian/Countess down a notch.
Henderson is the playmaker McVay mentioned before the draft. He got his man.
Long looks like a 3rd outside corner, bumping Hill down a notch.
Evans the swing tackle perhaps. Demby is back at G, Evans OL #7.

As for day 3, NT needs some help, round 5 a nice spot to find 2 down players.
WR depth behind the top 4 could use an upgrade.
Never have enough CB's, need to develop another for 2020.
Littletons backup is up in the air.
Rams have 3 draft pics in round 5 fairly close together, can see 1 moved for 2 picks in round 6.

same thing i said. all of the safeties rams brought in (including rapp) fit that mold.

Moreland at CB is nice but likely long gone before we pick.
