Cowboys released LB Jaylon Smith.

Smith started all 16 games for the Cowboys last season and led the team with 154 tackles, but he was frequently scrutinized for his lack of speed and, perhaps more importantly, effort. He started Weeks 2 and 3 for Dallas before playing just 40% of snaps in Week 4. The Cowboys still owe Smith $7.2 million for this season. He's free to sign elsewhere in the meantime

Cowboys fans hate him, and with good reason. The amount of blow gap control/bad angels was horrfic last year.

Ummm no? People scrutinized Ogletree some justly so but a lot unfairly and he made effort every play.

No somebody who doesn’t put in 100% of the time? No thank you.

He seemed like a can't miss player when he first entered the league. I thought he had good combine numbers too. It sounds like he lacks instincts and got by on athleticism in college.

Wouldn’t hurt to sign him on the cheap.

Some players thrive in different schemes or after a come to Jesus cut.

Had a few good years before the decline and they didn’t pay him 64million for nothing.

Sign him. If he lacks effort on a team led by AD and Jalen Ramsey he is truly hopeless

Now go to the JAX/HOU/DET fire sale and get a gd stud ILB. It’s killing the defense.
