With this jersey number we have hit the 2 rds. mark in our Count Down to the beginning of the regular season!!

We have some good ones today!! Starting with FB - Joe Marconi: (1956-61)

He rushed 398 times for 1769 Yds. and 21 TD's, an aver of 4.4. and he also had 61 receptions for 461 Yds. and 3 TD's

and he made it to 1 Pro-Bowl.

Next a Name you should remember, RB - Les Josephson: (1964-74)

Les played in 129 games for the Rams.

He rushed 797 times for 3407 Yds. and 21 TD's, and an aver. of 4.3 per.

He also had 194 receptions for 1970 Yds. and 11 TD's an aver. of 10.2

He was also 4 of 8 Passing for 87 Yds. and 1 TD.

He played in 5 Play-off games.

And hewent to the Pro=Bowl in 1967.

And he was "Well respected!!"


Next Man up, RB - Elvis Peacock (1979-80)

He rushed 216 times for 1001 Yds. and 7 TD's, an aver. of 4.6. He also had 46 receptions for 474 Yds. and 2 TD's, and aver of 10.3

I don't know why he didn't stay with the team Longer!

Maybe it had something to do with his Peacock outfit!

Next up, RB Tim Lester: (1992-94)

He rushed 18 times for 88 Yds. an aver of 4.9, and had 19 receptions for 155 Yds. an aver. of 8.2. NO TD's!
But he did play in 7 Play-off games!

OK, My next man, CB - Fakhir Brown: (2006-08)

He had 8 Int's for 81 Yds. and 1 TD.


Next RB - Lamar Gordon: (2002-03)

He played 23 games for us and had 136 carries for 526 Yds. and 2 TD's, an aver. of 3.9.

And my last man, a current player, RB Chase Reynolds: 2011-Present)

What can I say ..

I personally Like Chase!

But, as usual ..

He's in a Fight to stay on the 53 man Roster! I hope he can hang in because of his ST talents!

Unfortunately I have since misplaced that card. I should probable try and find it before this season starts.

I have to mention Marcus Dupree RB 1990-91
"The Best That Never Was"

He IMO could have been one of the best if not the best RB's to ever suite up!
If it weren't for his knee injury he would have been a HOF IMO!
His story is a great one if you have time to watch it. The best was done by ESPN 30 for 30!

EDIT: Forgot to mention Heyward was born in the same town that I was only 5 years later

Fahkir wasn't so bad, he was just on a team that was so sparse in DB talent(and any other talent really.) That it really opened up his deficiencies. If we had him then on this team now he would make a pretty good number 2/3.

* RB - Lamar Gordon - 2002-2003

In his 2 seasons as a Ram he played 23 in games.

he had 136 rushes for 526 Yds. and 2 TD's. w/ a long of 29 Yds. and a 3.9 aver.

He looked like a powerful runner and had pretty good speed.

He also had 51 Targets as a Receiver and had 38 Rec's for 337 Yds./ a 8.9 aver. / and 2 TD's. w/ a long of 25 Yds. and he had 5 Fumbles.

I guess they just thought of him as a Back-up for Faulk / before SJ!

* FB - Joe Marconi 1956-1961

This 1 time Pro Bowler Played in 71 games in his 6 Seasons as a Ram. he had 398 rushes for 1769 Yds. and 21 TD's. w/ a 4.4 aver. and a long of 75 Yds.
He also had 61 Rec's for 461 Yds. and 3 TD's / a 7.6 aver. w/ a long of 61 Yds. / 1 Fumble / and on defense he had 4 FR's.
As a Kicker he had 18 Punts for 754 Yds. / a long of 62 Yds. / 1 Blocked.
In the Playoff's he had 3 Rec's for 64 Yds. / a long of 34 Yds. and 3 Rushes for a total of 5 Yds.

* RB - Les Josephson - 1964-1974

( Above 6 I had a typo on Les's stats. so I'll correct it here!)
In his 11 Season as a Ram he played in 129 Games and had 797 Rushes for 3407 Yds. and 17 {Not 21} TD's w/ a 4.3 aver. and a Long of 75 Yds. he also had 194 Rec's for 1970 Yds. / 11 TD's / a 10.2 aver. w/ a long of 58 Yds.
He also had 6 KR's for 91 Yds. w/ a long of 35 Yds./ a 15.2 aver.
And he padded his stats by going 4 of 8 Passing for 87 Yds. and 1 TD. ? 1 Int. /and he was sacked once! His QB Rating was 89.1!

* RB - Elvis Peacock - 1979-1980

Elvis was a 1st Round pick by the Rams, #20!! In his 2 seasons with us he played in 24 games and had 216 Rushes for 1001 Yds./ 7 TD's / a 4.6 aver. and a long of 36 Yds.
Receiving he had 46 Rec's for 474 Yds./ 2 TD's / 10.3 aver. and a long of 59 Yds. he also had 3 KR's for 46 Yds. / a long of 18 Yds. and a 15.3 aver. / and he had 1 FR.

* RB - Tim Lester -1992-1994

Tim was a " 10th Round" Draft pick in 1992 #255 Overall. GREAT Value HUH!?!
In his 3 seasons with the Rams he Played in 41 games and had 18 Rushes for 88 Yds. / a 4.9 aver. w/ a long of 26 Yds. he also had 19 Rec's for 155 Yds. w/ a long of 21 Yds./ a 8.2 aver. / 1 KR for 8 Yds. / 1 Fumble and 1 FR.
In his 7 Playoff games he had 5 Rec's for 17 Yds. w/ a long of 7 Yds. and 1 Rush for 2 Yds.

* CB - Fakhir Brown - 2006-2008

In his 3 seasons with the Team he had 8 Int's for 81 Yds. and 1 TD. w/ a long of 36 Yds. he also had 34 Passes defended / 3 FF's / 1 FR / and 2 sacks w/ 146 TKL's and 12 Assists.
He had 1 Int. returned for a TD in 2007!

* RB - Chase Reynolds - 2011-Present

He's going into his 5th season as a Ram and in his 44 games he's had 21 TKL's and 2 Assists. / 1 PR for zero Yds. / 3 KR's for 9 Yds. w/ a long of 9 Yds.
I don't think the stats tell us everything about Chase. He's a gamer!
And in 2014 PFF voted him to their 1st Team All-NFL Team. ( for what ever that is worth!)

* RB Marcus Dupree - 1990-1991

In his 2 seasons as a Ram he Played 15 games and had 68 Rushes for 251 Yds. / 1 TD / a long of 24 Yds. /and a aver. of 3.7 PA/ he also had 6 Rec's for 46 Yds. a 7.7 aver. w/ a long of 21 Yds. and 1 Fumble.

* RB - Craig 'Iron Head' Heyward - 1997

In his single season with the Rams he had 34 rushes for 84 Yds./ 1 TD / a long of 8 Yds w/ a 2.5 aver. in his 16 games.
He also had 13 Targets w/ 8 Rec's for 77 Yds. / a 9.6 aver. w/ a long of 25 Yds. and 1 fumble.

Malcom Brown has some real competition this year to backup running back. I think we will see some good play from him this year.
