DeSean Jackson WR PHI 4 Hrs
DeSean Jackson said Monday he wants the Eagles to renegotiate his contract and give him a raise.
In March of 2012, Jackson signed a five-year, $48.2 million contract that included $15 million guaranteed. He's owed $10.25 million in 2014 base salary and a total of $30.5 million in salary plus workout bonuses over the next three years. But as he comes off a career-best season, he wants more. "I definitely feel like it's deserving," Jackson said. "I'm proven in this league, and after this past year, went out there, no distractions, and just really put it all in for my team and went out there and had a lot of success, so we'll see how it goes." D-Jax has absolutely no leverage here. He's being compensated at a rate in line with the elite players at his position and is under contract through 2016. Skipping OTAs and minicamps won't do anyone any good.

i wonder if he's gonna dog it again next season if he doesn't get what he wants.

I'm glad he's not a Ram. I wonder how he would have felt about renegotiating for less money if he'd had a down year?

This - whats the point in putting number of years in a contract? Don't the guy's realize that they are signing for more than one year??

Aren't we still supposed to be up in arms that De/Spags selected Avery over this guy?

I do not like it but if teams can renegotiate and take money away then why can't players do the opposite?

Avery = nice guy = small talent
Jackson = jerk = big talent
If you put those two on either side of a mental balance which one would you take?

I'd say, okay... We'll give ya a raise. If you get hurt, or don't perform well, you take a pay cut the following year commensurate to your performance.

How you like that idea, Doucheon Jackson?

His pos agent is probably telling him that Foles is gonna get paid soon so to try and get as much as he can. Philly should be use to it by now, Jackson is a worse teammate than TO.

Had he done that we may have gone to the playoffs in Bradford's first year... and maybe again this year. Would you be complaining about how much he makes then?
