Sucks to hear, but most definitely true given their record and winning with backups without breaking a sweat...

Yeah they have earned that title. But there's a long way to go and the best team at midseason isn't the one that hoists the Lombardi.

They are blowing out teams on the regular. When you make football look easy, you're in a really good place. To me they clearly are the best team in le league right now.

Right now the Cards are the best. The Rams hurt their chances at home team advantage against the Titans. The Cardinals are in the drivers seat.

So how did this over matched college coach, a bunch of washed up vets and a few picks suddenly go from door mat to beat in the league?

Could they beat the Titans now? Bucs? Rams? GB?

Schedule and a lot of luck have them at 8-1. Cowherd is an idiot getting paid to flap his lips with no accountability.

Except they are a common opponent and the Cards beat them.

Sorry, I’ll go now.
Aw crap, I thought "common opponent" was the tiebreaker AFTER conference record, but it's not.

For two teams in same division it's:
1. H to H
2. Div record
3. Common opponents
4. Conf record
5. "Strength of victory"

Good news is that Cards lost to GB, so if we beat AZ and GB, we're looking good. Would really help for AZ to lose a game vs an NFC team so we don't have to run the damn table.

But yeah, as of today, if Rams were to run the table and go to 15-2 (and AZ finished 15-2 also), Rams would beat out AZ for the title based on that fourth tiebreaker-- conf. record.

Gonna be very hard to catch AZ. But to do so, the game at AZ is obviously a "must win", and the game at GB is pretty darn close to a "must win" for tiebreakers.

Hard to argue against that logic, they're first in the league right?

That being said, I'm not convinced that Kyler will be able to be healthy down the stretch and in the playoffs, which could end up sinking them.

Every team has a long way to go to get to, and remain healthy for the playoffs.

This thread is worth a bookmark, because 2 months from now the picture may look different.

Lots left to play!

Listening to sports talk every day. I can tell you there's a new MVP, best team, best rookie, best defensive player etc etc every week. Its absurd to give any credit to any of these talking heads

They have a lot of common opponents though... like 13 out of 17 opponents are the same. So yeah that isn't meaningless... but 3 of the top 4 other tie breakers are division/conference.
