He's played great... becoming a big part of the D.

Looking into the future - we have Jenkins, Johnson, McLeod, and Barron all becoming FA's. Hope we can keep them all somehow... or at least 3 of them.

Its the replace and release(Then Reload) of Cook,Saffold,Ayers,Fairley,(Re-Do or release Chris Long),others that will save us some cash as the Cap limit will be raised also. Looking at Baylors DE (Oakman) and Bama's LB (Reggie Ragland) that will be 1st rounders but not top 20 players as this years college draft is really looking unusually DEEP. Ragland is ranked 24th in Walter Football and with so many DE's coming out from Bosa(OSU) Ndicche(Ole Miss) Ogbah(Okla ST.)Buckner(Oregon)Calhoun(Mich St.)Washington(OSU). These are so called first rounders leaving Oakman as our top 2nd round pick.

Oakman is a freak and with Longacre or (Hayes/Sims) on a small deal rotation player we just keep our front 4 DL more dangerous than ever. Get JL and AO some help as both are now banged up and we add depth and leadership as Ragland calls the Bama "D" also. Use our other top number 2 on a speedy WR with hands. Most draft boards have RAMS taking a freaking OT like Havenstein is someone we are giving up on after 6 games. :ROFLMAO: . Things are looking up for the Future and the RAMS.:icare:

Seemed to give up quite a bit of passes in his coverage, unfortunately. But he played pretty well.

Yup, an all-to-common issue resurfaced - TE's were open too often, but that's nit-picking Barron. Overall, he played a great game

Barron has really emerged in the role he's in. Hard Hits, Sacks, Forced fumbles, key tackles.

But the play of the whole secondary has been money. Jenkins has stepped up big time. They are starting to talk about him as a shut down corner. (Knock on wood). There are a lot of coverage sacks going on. Trumaine and Jenks and solid vs the pass and real strong vs the run right now, causing turnovers.

And Mcloud has not allowed those deep balls like the last two years. He fills the Angel role in our defense and plays it perfectly. Doesn't allow the deep ball and comes up for the big hit when needed. TJ is playing on the same level as last year. Violent hitter setting the tone.

And let me add, Fairley has made plays the last few weeks, sacks and solid run stops along with the heads up Fumble recovery and JL has really stepped up after the Washington debacle.

Rewatched the game today. . . I agree. Barron has been unreal in his new role. Absolutely unreal. He fit so good in that role.

One name I have not seen mentioned in Joyner. That guy has come on in a big way. He has always been a great tackler but he is starting to get it in coverage.

Anyone ever noticed that he is a complete qb killer. He killed mcnown, big ben, palmer, and maybe a few others.

Mark "The Executioner" Barron

Because that man cuts off the head of offenses (QB).

Barron is a talented player that has a DC that knows how to use him to his strengths.
I will keep saying it....Fairley had a good game as well.

What's happened to the Rams?? We used to have to squint to find talented players on our roster, now they're oozing out of the woodwork--when a guy like Tree gets hurt, it's "next man up" Barron to fill his shoes--and not just fill them, but do "wow" plays just like the guy he replaced. Joyner is starting to click, and when Gaines comes back next year, we'll have lots of CB & S depth.
More so on D than O, but I think we're starting to turn the corner there, too--our OL seems to have talented depth (Reynolds, a "backup", playing better than the starter he replaced--how long's it been since we could say THAT???), our RB squad, and possibly even at QB (hoping depth at that position doesn't need to be tested). So glad we no longer have to dread the threat of the human turnstiles lurking in our OL depth--there's Wichmann, Battle, Williams, Rhaney & Donnal all just waiting for a chance to prove their mettle. If Snead can restock the WR and TE positions in the next offseason, I think we'll have one of the most talented rosters in a VERY long time.

Pay the man. Re-sign him, Jenkins, Tru and McLeod. Keep the core of this secondary going!
