If Clowney goes #1, which he has a good chance of doing, do you think the Browns might trade up to #2 to grab there top Qb?

Or is there no chance they do? And we must hope that the Falcons or someone else trades up with us?

Just wondering since it hasnt been talked about much lately.

Thoughts?

I honestly don't see the Rams trading down. They want to but why would anyone want to trade up? These top QB's aren't worth losing picks in a deep draft. I think(hope) that's why they've been beating the Khalil drum lately. He (and maybe Watkins, but I think to a lesser extent) is probably the best chance for the Rams to trade down.

Unless the Browns fall in love with someone (which i don't see), i doubt it.

So,,, no, there's no chance.

Aything is possible- if they secretly love one of the QBs, and fear either Jax or a team will trade up in front of them for said QB- sure they may want to avoid that and get thier guy- never say never- QB's arent something you gamble on- most want their guy- and wont gamble he will fall. we will see. honestly I think there is no way Hous waits on a QB- they are built to win- cant see it.

This there there really isn't anything clear cut at the top. I can see Jax taking Bortles at 3, but then again I can see them and the Raiders wanting Watkins. Then when you throw Mack in there, who could go anywhere in the top 10....it's hard to forecast. I think we'd have to trade out of the top 5 to find a partner who doesn't want to miss someone. Atlanta is the most likely IF Clowney falls to 2.

It just takes one team to feel it has to have a player to get a trade partner. They all know the Rams are open for business. They also know they can get the top player at any position, other than D-Line (assuming Clowney goes first) by trading to #2. There will be deals offered, it's just a matter of how good they are. Snead may not feel they are strong enough or they're too far down to go, so it may not work out.

I don't know how likely a trade up by the Browns was before but nothing has changed in this regard.

If history repeats itself, the Browns will take whoever is left and that QB will suck for one or two seasons before becoming a backup for the rest of his career.

Pretty much this ^.

No matter what they do, it will blow up in their face.

I really think it has more to do with what the Rams want.

If they have a "must have" player and they can't comfortably move down and still get that player, than no. I can't see NOT having a "must have" player in this draft at least in the top 5.

I'll be very disappointed if they trade out of the top 6 spot.

I wouldn't move if I was the Browns.

Didn't the Browns fire one of their FO people months ago for revealing they were interested in Johnny Football? Didn't they do an about face and tried to play as though they were really interested in Carr? I am still hoping they give into temptation and look to broker a deal at the eleventh hour for their Johnny Football, surrender both Round One picks to the Horns.

They SHOULD be! How did it work out last time they waited to get their qb (Weeden) and opted for Trent Richardson even having to jump the Vikes one spot to ensure. Vikes got Khalil either way.

Go for it Browns fuck up again instead kf placing a simple call to Mr. Les Snead.

Fucking crazy how not long ago Bridgewater was on top then Bortles then Manziel with a cough for Carr.

Our Rams will win either way it ends up.

...I will add if those Shit Stains stay at #4 and take Watkins I might have an angry moment or two just because...I'm a greedy mofo and want Clowney/Matthews and Watkins to prosper our bright future.

Maybe we thought Bridgewater was on top because jrry was throwing stats in our faces.

@jrry32 did not influence me on Bridgewater...however he provided a vast amount of analysis that was quite damn impressive. I have no clue how to judge a qb but if I had a choice I'd opt for Teddy who I think falls not later than #8 to the Vikings, he'll be a great fit there and likely beat out Cassel as starter this season.

The whole monkey wrench in this whole draft right now is Texas. They are in the drivers seat and it really depends on what they do. No one will trade with them for the #1 pick so they just sit on it and do not give any clue as to who they are picking and so that leaves everyone else in a lurch as to making any deals. All the gms are playing poker right now.
