^Not sure what Harkey and Gurley have to do with that

Brain fart, ... corrected. Was trying to get across that Rams rushing would be coming quick & often, keeping the S.F offensive line on the field, but it didn't work the way I had intended. :redcard:

Despite a report that 49ers offensive lineman Anthony Davis was thinking of retiring, we’re told that is not in the plans for Davis.

A league source tells PFT that Davis does not plan to retire.

Davis is, however, listed as questionable for the 49ers’ opener on Monday night against the Rams, for reasons the 49ers have only said are “not injury related.” Davis did not practice with the team today.

If Davis does retire, he’s required to pay back to the 49ers a portion of his signing bonus. If he is released, however, he would not have to pay that money back. So if Davis doesn’t want to play for the 49ers anymore, he’d be better off getting released than retiring.

The 26-year-old Davis was the 49ers’ first-round draft pick in 2010 and played five good years with the team before announcing last year that he would take the year off. He returned to the 49ers this year and will be their starting right guard, if he plays.

San Francisco 49ers offensive lineman Anthony Davis is considering retiring from the NFL. Again.

Last year, Davis was placed on the reserve-retired list by the 49ers and sat out the entire season, although he said he was just taking a break, not retiring, and this year he returned to the team. Now, with the season about to start, Davis may walk away again.

On their official injury, report, the 49ers listed Davis as questionable but listed the reason as “not injury related.” The San Jose Mercury News reports that Davis may retire again but the 49ers are trying to convince him to keep playing.

The 49ers were expecting Davis to start at right guard Monday night against the Rams, but they may need to scramble and reconfigure their offensive line if Davis walks away.

He can keep changing his mind if he wants, but my level of give-a-shit will remain constant.

Another b!tch @$$ whiner looking for attention and headlines. Here's hoping the Rams DL brings it so we can watch him quit in the first quarter.
