I absolutely love Andrew Whitworth, who played great last night, I might add. I have been his biggest advocate on the field for quite some time on these boards. If he wanted to, I feel Whitworth could play for another 5 years and still be serviceable because, as of now, I am still not seeing much decline.

But Big Whit is even better off the field. Glad he is fighting back.

I do, however, try not to judge former players to harshly. The sad reality is, with how prevalent brain trauma is, especially in linemen, you never know if it is the person or the CTE etc. talking.

It seems more like Staley’s hatred toward the Rams is still boiling over. He exposed himself as a petty chump. But we already knew that about him.

I’m not giving the POS the benefit of the doubt. He said what he said and he owns it.

Joe didn't make himself any friends with his childish antics that's for sure. But at the end of the day we won and they didn't. Rams nation got the last laugh

Andrew Whitworth is on his way to the second Super Bowl appearance of his career, but after the Los Angeles Rams beat the San Francisco 49ers, he took to Instagram to send a message to former 49ers tackle Joe Staley. And it wasn’t a kind message, either.

Whitworth ripped Staley for a tweet he sent before the NFC Championship Game about buying tickets from Rams fans. Staley was trolling Whitworth’s wife, who offered to buy tickets from Rams fans rather than letting them fall into the hands of 49ers fans, who packed SoFi Stadium in Week 18.

Whitworth says he used to respect Staley, but that’s seemingly no longer the case. He went on to call it “embarrassing for our game” and says he would “hope a legend of the game would leave a players wife out of it.”

Whitworth called Staley a “tough guy” and will “address that at a later date.”

It was as strong a message as Whitworth has ever sent publicly, which shows how angered he was about Staley’s tweet. Read his full post about Staley below, which was deleted Monday.

One current NFL offensive lineman has some beef with a former one – and one from the team he just beat to make it to Super Bowl 56.

Los Angeles Rams left tackle Andrew Whitworth posted a message to his verified Instagram account that called out former 49ers left tackle Joe Staley for making fun of Whitworth's wife earlier in the week.

Melissa Whitworth had posted a message to her Twitter account Jan. 23 asking Rams fans who were interested in selling their tickets to the NFC championship game to not sell them to 49ers fans.

Staley then responded to Melissa Whitworth's tweet essentially copying the text she used, but changing the final few words.

After the Rams toppled the 49ers 20-17 on Sunday to advance to face the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl 56, Andrew Whitworth responded to Staley's slight.

Rams/shitters gonna be this decade's Steelers/Ravens of the late 2000s.

It'll be one of those things where we'll be flat out rooting for Arizona and Seattle when they play SF.

I already do. In fact I'd root for the Chinese Army against SF.

IF they can find a QB. I think when the Rams went out and got Stafford that changed the dynamic. Rams passing game is finally looking really good now and should be even better year two. I don't know if the 9ers will be able to compete and that's even with rat boy making anybody look good at QB.
