They've both been sideline reporters and frequented sports shows for quite a while now. So yes they know football. Course, that doesn't equate to being good as a play by play person but we'll see.

I actually don't know how this is working this year. So Fox has Thursday night football rights. This weeks game will be on fox broadcast channels. But amazon is also streaming them? So there will be two different booths calling the game? The two ladies and Buck/Aikman?

Don't know them, but I'll gladly take listening to them over Collinsworth, Brennaman, Johnston, and Stockton. Overall Dick is ok, just getting a little confused.

As long as they are more entertaining than Doris Burke (NBA). She is monotonous and works best as a sideline reporter.

Really wish they'd give Salters a shot. Like her knowledge and upbeat personality. She's been working sidelines for a while, she deserves a chance behind the Mic.

I don't mind Buck/Aikman so much but I wish they did the same game as Collingsworth! I loathe that bastard and his "RPO" this or that or his tongue constantly being in somebody ass. Annoying ass voice to.

https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=AICM

Chat room abbreviation of "And I Claim My insert payment" used when the responder gives a definitive answer in a thread.

Normally in the form of "UR .... AICM £5" which is an abbreviation of "you are ..... and I claim my £5" when speculating on the identity of a poster.

This started during the press circulation wars of the 20s and 30s with summer publicity campaigns by the Westminster Gazette (from 1927) and News Chronicle (mid-30s). A fuzzy photo of "Lobby Lud" (really a lowly newspaper employee) was printed in the paper along with the seaside resort where he would be that day. If you recognized him you could win ten pounds by producing a copy of the newspaper and saying, "You are Mr. Lobby Lud, I claim the Gazette Prize." After the war the Daily Mirror copied the campaign, but changed the phrase to "... and I claim my five pounds". A jokey/sarcastic/downright nasty appraisal of a fellow frumite's "real identity" based on the opinions expressed in their preceding post.

I think this could work - although I admit that I always like having a former player on color - but even that depends on the player.

Who is announcung this thursday? Aikman, right?
On Fox’s broadcast yes. These two ladies will do the stream that Amazon is doing the last 11 TNF games is my understanding.

You're right it doesn't always translate, but they do know there stuff for sure.

Wow good question......

although I admit that I always like having a former player on color - but even that depends on the player.

No doubt it varies wildly and not just in football.

Remember when Magic had a short stint in the booth?

Andrea Kremer has been a reporter for ESPN, HBO and NFL Network for probably 25 years.

She's very good and knows her shit about football.
