Just like you guys, I'm also a bit nervous. We know the Eagles are beatable and we know the Rams are playoff (if not Super Bowl) contenders. Tomorrow will be a telling game for both teams. It's only week 14, but this Eagles/Rams game certainly feels like a playoff preview. Reminds me of the 2001 season...

Anyways, I'm definitely gonna have a tough time sleeping tonight. Hopefully we can prove the doubters wrong.
Let's go, Rams!

Well, it certainly FEELS like a playoff game. The hype--the atmosphere--the nature of the teams. So yes--I'm very nervous. But at the same time--it's nice to feel SOMETHING at this time of year again. Usually it's just resignation that the season is over and wondering who the top draft picks might be.

It's December and the Rams are still playing for something.

Great game, This was a nerve-racking 20 minutes to watch! I didn't remember the out-come! Az was robbed of a TD, and then it goes to OT!! WOW!

I'm nervous too, but if we win, we basically guarantee ourselves a playoff spot.

I get the butterflies thing. I got them. I always get them before Rams games. But isn't it glorious to have them so strong before a Week 14 game? For the past decade, this time of the season, we are more talking about the upcoming draft and if we should be getting a new coach or not. Nice change of scenery around here fellas!!!!!(y):santa:

All I have done this week is drink, lay on the beach, drink, eat, golf, eat, drink and *&#%

So I am shot right now, but my flight home lands at 4:18pm tomorrow. By the time we get to the house I will be in game mode

Where were you?

This is a funny game.

All the players know (most of) the country/talking heads/skeptics figure Eagles are going to win.

So to that extent, it is a bit of a statement game ( and that’s without the Goff/Wentz bulkshit).

I just hope McVay reminds the team that they were essentially two plays away from beating both Seattle and the Vikings.

That said, Seahawk game is WAY more important.

Enjoy boys- gonna’ be a good one.

It's a huge statement game! If the Eagles lose (especially back to back including the Hags) all hell is going to break loose with the talking heads. Whose the best in the NFL then? Not the Eagles no more. The Rams then? They'll still fight that I bet, and fall all back in love with the Brady/Pats deal.

Anyway, I hope it happens. I hope the Rams stomp them into a bag of little feathers!

Nervous as hell but also so damn excited it's all I've thought about today. Meaningful football, you can't ask for much more as an NFL fan.

Personally, I’m in a serious mode. I’ve never experienced a record of this caliber so in my mind I’m thinking, “We need to execute and out play them. Have discipline, and make the open field tackles.”
Because I do believe they will move the ball on us. But the biggest thing in my mind is to play mistake free mentally, and diminish the penalties. We do that, we will at least be in the game late.

I've been talking to all my Eagle fan friends the last couple of days. They must like me because they aren't coming out and saying they expect a beat down though they can't hide that underlying feeling. I can see it in their eyes.

I've initiated the conversation by asking, "so what do you think is gonna happen Sunday?"
The company line is "oh, it should be a good game but.......

.....I think Wentz will bounce back"
.....I think the defense will show up"
.....I think the Rams are due for a bad game....not a blowout though"

and apparently my most honest friend (I never give him enough credit) said, "Oh I think we're gonna win but it also wouldn't surprise me if the Rams beat us. We looked like crap in Seattle and that's the first tough team we've played since Carolina."

On the other hand, I'm not completely honest with them. After they answer me they ask me what I think and I come back with my company line.

"Huge test. A 10-2 team? Are you kidding me? It's going to take a nearly perfect game to beat them, especially coming off a tough loss in Seattle. And this is a must win for the Eagles. They know losing this game will mean they risk losing a first round bye."....which usually causes them to pause and allow their eyes to say "you've got to be on drugs".

But I guess I'm not really being dishonest. It is going to take a solid effort to beat them. They are a good team but not as good as the talking heads have been leading all to believe. Certainly not nearly as good as their fans think.Though those same talking heads have given the Rams credit, IMO they are even better than that and Philly fans have no idea how aggressive the Rams play. Also, Seattle was the first good team they've played since the Redskins (not Carolina)....Eagle fans never give their division opponents credit either. They've enjoyed 4 cupcakes before the Seahawks game and they got fat and lazy.

I do know this is the most important Rams game in a decade and a half. I'm amped, fully confident in McVay, Phillips, Bones, Goff, Gurley, Donald, Legatron, Hekker and the rest and I'm going to enjoy their complete arrival.
