I still recommend Office Space for people who work in a corporate office

I could not choose between these two great film moments ...

Any Will Ferrell movie. I think he's annoying AF. And unnecessarily loud.
There have been a couple good ones but for the most part, I'm right there with you. I just don't get the whole Will Ferrell thing.

Personal Gone With the Wind story ...

When I was about 10, Gone With the Wind was re-released in theatres. It had not been on regular television since being made about 30 years earlier, so people being able to see it again after many years was a big deal.

It was a Sunday afternoon, and six women in my family (mother, beloved aunt, two older sisters and two older cousins) really wanted to see it. I was told that it was a Civil War movie, so I was in. Those women lied to me.

Although it's set during the Civil War, it ain't no Civil War movie. It is a long ... Very LONG love stroy. The middle of the film has a climactic scene where the female lead stands on a hill surrounded by her destroyed family plantation, and vows to persevere, with the closing line ... 'As God is my witness, I will never go hungry again'

Music plays, theatre lights go on and I stand-up, pick-up my coat because I can't get out of there fast enough.

Aunt Midge ... a wonderful woman .. says to me ... 'Where you going?'
I respond ... "Movie's over ... Scarlett will never go hungry again ... Let's Go!"
Aunt Midge replies ... 'This is just the intermission'

That was one of the low-points in my formative years.
It’s good to know I’m not alone.

I just couldn’t sit through it either.

Yeah but you were able to ‘shut it off’.

I was forced to sit through it.
I was traumatized!

You at least tried to leave during intermission. I couldn’t leave until the class was over (took until the intermission for one, the remainder for another). And the teacher kept injecting racist comments (making fun of the black lady who said she doesn’t know how to be a midwife - of course, probably a main reason why the movie was banned; it was just so stereotypical - and Scarlet slapped her), and of course I called him out. I swear, he paused the movie for me, and promised a two week suspension…and that it would be twice as long if I interrupted the movie again, fell asleep, or tried to leave.

I watched the whole movie in absolutely furious and indignant silence.

I might be in the minority but Dune never did it for me. Seemed hard to keep my interest.

You need to read the book to understand what is happening in Dune (although the ending of Dune is completely different than the ending of the book).

The uncut version of the movie really follows closely to most of the story line in the book (they left a lot of the parts out but it would have been an 8 hour movie if they did leave them in) until the ending. They really messed up the ending.

I've never seen Titanic, or any of the 120 Fast and Furious movies. I've also never seen a single comic book movie after Heath Ledger's Batman.

Water world was not a popular movie and doesn't belong in this category at all because it sucked

Interstellar - I am still trying to figure out that ending

Gravity - ehh

Mad Max? what the hell dude - classic

And if you aren't into fantasy, you aren't going to like Harry Potter or LOTR

Loved LotR. It’s never going to compare to Tolkien’s vision, but Peter Jackson did the best he could do, and it was awesome.

Loved Mad Max: Fury Road. I loved Nicholas Hoult’s character the most; just so well acted.

I will get right on it.
I loved that movie and understood his dream of "doing nothing," when I worked at a call center years ago.
