I am not checking.

The media is fanning the flames.
Saw it but its a bunch of horse shiet...

Over 88,000 infected and over 3,000 dead.

This is not hype/overreaction/ or the media fanning flames or a bunch of horseshit.

And China is pulling the same crap they did with SARS and Bird Flu by downplaying what is actually going on. Neither of those blew up as fast as this. Then there was MERS. And of course Ebola which killed a lot of people. And we had ZIKA. None exploded like this.

These are all similar to Corona Virus. Which seems like it might be a mutation I don't know I have read a lot about it but there are still a lot of question marks. It's like they are variations and there are similar symptoms.

It's spreading rapidly in some places and also in 1st world nations but more slowly. However it's there. It's fortunate that 1st world nations have resources to bring to the fight. And sanitation makes a difference as well.

Hopefully there is a "lid" for this to slow it or stop it. IMO the US should have shut down flights from China and a few other nations weeks ago. The response was a bit slow. Other nations too should have clamped down.

The worst thing that can happen from this type of situation is panic. I prefer to pay attention to the math. There are currently FAR greater threats to mankind than this media circus. I recognize that you are the world police, so I will back away from this discussion having stated my opinion.

The flu has killed more people this year than coronavirus has. Coronavirus is just the latest version so the media is using it to get ratings with their pandemic predictions. 80% of the people that get infected with it dont even know they are ill. It is the elderly, the very young and those that already have a compromised immune system that have difficulties. I havent had the flu in over 40 yrs, even though I come in contact with people that have the flu. Most of those yrs my blood alcohol content was probably above toxic levels for non alcoholics and no infection stood a chance at getting me ill. Just like the flu, hygiene and common sense will go a long way towards keeping you safe. Avoid being sneezed on by staying away from buses, trains and airplanes.

Whats with the bashing the media for providing you information.

Happy for the young in good health people that aren’t concerned.

So if your young and healthy and have a fever, cough or sneezing please stay home because there’s some of us that would prefer you not to get those of us sick who don’t share your view or your age and health.

Hey East Ram,
I appreciate and respect your concern about this virus and it spreading around and how to try and prepare.
We all get your point and what you’re trying to say.
It’s gotta be tough knowing not everyone sees things the way you do. And it’s gotta suck knowing a majority of people aren’t gonna do 1/4 of what you recommend. I mean do you wash your hands before you take a piss? Not many people do - but the fact is that’s exactly what you should do. You should wash your hands before you grab your john thomas, not just after. I know for a fact only 3% of America does that safe and sanitary act - most don’t wash after they piss. So it must suck knowing that when you go outside there is a 100% chance that people around you not being as sanitary as you and going around grabbing door knobs and touching shit.
I feel for you, man

Maybe if health care wasn’t complete shit in a communist country, these bottom numbers could be pumped up a bit.

Pandemic? My balls.

Just curious ... what number of deaths or cases or how many countries will you require for it to be determined a pandemic ?

Many scientists haven't qualified it yet as a pandemic but are saying we are quickly approaching it without informing us of the numbers they require to call it such.

More than the flu.
(12k - 61k deaths annually)

I hated when the fucking media wouldn’t stop talking about the Swine flu. It’s ridiculous.

Every fucking year there is at least one they promote to get clicks and get people to watch.

Why?

Advertisements to get paid. It’s as simple as that age old adage, “ Follow the money.”

Actually the worst thing that could happen is to ignore it and call "media bullshit".

The smart thing is for 1st world nations to move in and tamp it down because they can and the other less able nations can't. That's what prevented Ebola from spreading globally and that's what a smart response is...........and you can shove you "world police" remark you know where.

Are any admins going to do something about that kind of shit?

And that's the big problem, they can't do it.

China has SO many issues because of pollution, terrible health care, enviromental problems and the list goes on. Rural China is in another century.

This is why 1st world nations need to get involved.

Imagine if this hit NYC full force.

That’s exactly why the world leans on the healthcare of the USA. The free market here develops medicine more than anywhere else.
