Coach Rick Venturi [He is probably included in one of the above links, but he is good and worth his own link.]

I miss Venturi bad. I don't mind Softli, but he brings a scouts perspective. I miss actually hearing about players/teams/schemes from an actual coach. His breakdowns before and after games were awesome. The rest of everyone else on there may as well be anyone just rambling.

I think Venturi made some excellent points regarding Saffold's abilities at LOT (competent, but not elite). As he points out, Saffold is competent at LT, but probably not if Bradford were to throw around 60% of the time.....I can certainly see that happening in games they're behind (if only on a short percentage basis, say in the 4th Q for example) so his points well made. IMO, Saffold has the "potential" to make an outstanding RT, assuming of course that he can get over the change AND develop the foot and pivot skills required at ROT.

Damn, as I reflect upon the competition in the west, coupled by the losses of personnel, added to that the responsibilities now transferred to Quick and Pettis, not to mention the reliance upon yet to be named players in the draft, I'm becoming more concerned as to the Rams abilities to average say 24 points a game or higher which seems like a minimum requirement to win the majority of their games (even with an outstanding defense). While I fully expect improvement by many returning players, I'm less comfortable that they may obtain the efficient scoring ability (this year) we all hope for....time will tell I guess.
