It was time. After the NFC Championship Game last year, he had to be on thin ice. He has done nothing this year to bounce back. And then he stupidly fielded that punt inside the one yard line. Might have been the final straw.

Sure, his hands always look so sound when catching short passes, yea, make him the punt returner. Got to be some better option out there. Puka would make probably make a great returner, sound hands, tough to tackle in the open field, just saying, jk.
The punt and kickoff coverage needs improvement as well.

Can guarantee Kyren handles punt returns this week and next until they find a guy they can trust to just catch the ball.
I'll never understand why Tutu hasnt been used there
Tutu was tried as a returner his rookie year and looked uncomfortable and then got injured.
IMO Tutu didn't look very promising in that role
I don’t think that guy is on the roster. You’ve got Puka, Adams and generally speaking, a whole lotta hard working lunch pail types who must be good blockers and love football. This is what the Rams have brought in since 2023.
It was a great strategy to rebuild the ranks quickly, but IMO has hurt the team now that we’re contenders again. Athleticism, speed, dynamics are lacking.
Someone mentioned Presley. I liked what I saw in preseason. Maybe stick Tutu on returns until he breaks.
