Akers and Koski were pretty slippery in preseason. Both showed solid route running. Both seem like the heady types that can execute the playbook, so let’s get em rollin.

I hope this is not a long term thing. Has anyone heard anything else besides "it's his back"?

I know he's not a WR but at some point does Hopkins ever get in a game? At some point we run out of people who know the playbook intimately and they are forced to play him just for a body? A supposed receiving TE seems like something we could really use in the passing game at this point in time if we're forced out of 11 personnel due to injuries.

Expecting low round and free agent players who do not have the size, strength, and athletic ability to match up with higher round talent on opposing teams to stay healthy is too much to ask. It is not bad luck these guys are dropping like flies.

OBJ mentioned in his presser that he's learning the offense, which insinuates to me that he's got a way to go on the terminology and all that. Wasn't sure how fluent he was in WCO which is the fucking worst phonetically. But at this point it doesn't matter they gotta get him ready at least with the basic route concepts so he's in the right spot to prevent turnovers.

Good thing is OBJ is a man out there blocking. That's been a nice thing to see, I didn't realize that part of his game was so good. Just figured he was a typical diva but there's hope for this guy.

I guess that *could* be an argument, but there's plenty of evidence that they can, in fact, stay healthy and compete.

Jordan Fuller, Troy Hill, David Edwards.

Players get injured.

This just seems like a veiled shot at the Rams approach to building a roster and not a very sound one, at that.

Do you have any idea how big Skow is?

Skow was pretty disappointing the the last game, but, so was the rest of the team. let's hope Akers can catch the ball at minimum.
