Honestly look like a young Kupp tbh. Our scouts better be all in on this dude.

I’d be curious to look into to see what he did against better talent from power4 schools. .

He started out as the QB and won PCL offensive player of the year at that position. It seems he has a good grasp of the game. He seems like a good fit. I wonder what he will run.

I was looking at his games vs bigger opponents and smaller ones. Not overly impressive and seems he missed or got hurt the last game and a half.

He didn't win the triple crown. Harrold Fannin Jr had more catches and yards as a TE

He sat out the bowl game like many do, saw him play in person on a few occasions. He is big and has strong hands. Wins in the air and uses his body well also gets YAC

He did indeed win the Triple Crown, the award goes to receivers and tight Ends are not considered @OldSchool
Not that it matters when it comes to accolades as both players had tremendous years

After watching Nash last year I was hoping he stayed a bit under the radar and we grabbed him as a late rounder
He obviously outperformed my top secret plan lol

May not have top tier speed sending him to the 3rd day, we will see
Lockhart on the other side of him was also pretty impressive in that spread & shred offense

@Corbin
Didn't see him miss much time and thought he performed well through the entire season other than the game in the rain where his QB another local kid Walker Eget couldn't throw the ball in pouring rain

Got it 2nd most receiving yards and catches gets the award, that isn't actually a reward.

Surprised by the hate, wouldn't expect it from you being a usually knowledgeable fan.

Tight End has been a position that has evolved into a more receiving oriented position in the modern era but historically it has not been involved as a receiver. It wasn't until Gibbs I believe in the 80's or even as late as the 90's that it became a real threat as a receiver.

I personally don't take issue with rewarding a specific position group with a reward established for that group

It is possible that an RB could catch more balls but it is a different position.

I think we can celebrate both accomplishments without throwing shade BUT this is ROD LOL

WR's and all positions do have a position award as I know you know. And Nash did not win the Biletnikoff, lost it to Travis Hunter.

Yeah, the Travis hype machine in full force.

I would like to see the modern TE position get more attention, that Kid Fannon had a remarkable year at Bowling Green and outside of connoisseur's like ourselves and junkies like we around here nobody knows.

Being a Nash thread and him technically winning the TC ( they for whatever reason didn't consult you and I) lol.
I was inclined to stay on task and give the kid props, great story and as we know the road to the "League" is very tough. It could be the last of his competitive career and he has earned some notoriety. (yeah....I'm getting soft @ 60+)

I have some ties to SJSU and a soft spot when it comes to that program from Pop Warner to Dick Vermeil.

Take it up with the NCAA
Oh I don't care what the NCAA says they've never done anything smart before why change now? Nash didn't lead the nation in catches or yards. So they can say whatever they want but the simple truth is he didn't lead the nation in the triple crown categories. A remarkable TE did and he deserves the credit for his accomplishments.

Harold Fannin had a great season.
I’m sure he will be rewarded with an NFL contract. He may even have a better career than Nash.

In the end, I doubt Harold Fannin Jr. loses any sleep over Nash being recognized as the NCAA triple crown winner.

You realize that Nash did lead in all 3 categories through the season it wasn't until the 17 catch 250 + yard BOWL Game that Fannin caught no pun intended and Passed Nash

The Triple Crown is a regular season award, not all players have bowl games available. Most awards are based on regular season performance.

Nash is the 4th Triple Crown Winner and recognized as such by the standards and practices that have been put in place by the governing body of NCAA.

Is your problem with Through the season ? As in he didn't lead every category every moment of each game through the regular season?
I am truly surprised at how invested you are in minimalizing a kids recognition.
From contentious to tendentious to pedantic.
I guess the chances of finding common ground on this aren't likely

I wouldn't mind a tall possession kid who can go up & get it. Great RZ target, maybe even from 20 - 30 yds out.
Puka & Kupp are 6'2, Whitt & D Rob are 6'1. so ya 3rd - 4th round.
Our WR1 needs to be F A S T. Would love to know this kid's speed, his might be sneaky -- taller kids look slower but might be fast.

Nash I good WR and will likely make some team happy they drafted him in the 5th or 6th round. Never said he wasn't that. I'm not trying to deny anybody their accomplishments on the contrary simply trying to get somebody theirs. I get that NCAA awards a title based on their own criteria. But for the first time ever a TE led the nation in receiving and nobody is giving him his due.

Also NCAA has always included bowl games as a regular season statistic. Also Nash didn't lead the nation in receiving the entire way through the season. Saying that doesn't diminish his season sorry that's just the simple truth.

He had a good year and will be a good day 3 pick for a team. There are other WR's that I'd like to draft earlier and they're more of an X WR which we desperately need and come with more speed though Nash's 4.5 is good.

Tre Harris and Jalen Royals as day 2 picks. Jayden Higgins, Elic Ayomanor, Tory Horton, Kyren Lacy and Savion Williams in the 3-5 round range as well. All those are very good WR's more along the lines of an X WR that we all generally think we need. But like I said if we draft Nash Rams fans should be happy. I'd be beyond happy if we traded back got a 2nd round pick and took Fannin Jr though that is an aspect this offense desperately needs and has never had.
