I know it seems that I am a very worldly guy with the finest culinary tastes (Hawaiian Pizza, for example} and my distinctive ability as a connoisseur of fine 40 ozers..... But I'm pretty square. I am no longer in a job where I worry about drug tests, and I believe that a certain substance that is illegal in Kansas is very legal in Colorado might relieve pain better than a prescribed narcotic.

I'm wondering how the border crossing works going from Colorado to Kansas... Does Kansas have agents that follow Kansas license plated vehicles back into the state from the shops in question? Or do they not care and you could be pulling a uhaul full of this substance without worries? Looking at you, @Merlin

I have in the past and likely will in the future. There are minor crimes of convenience, or of necessity, like if you did a side job for cash and you don't report the income or driving 40 on a 35 mph street. Then there are dirty crimes like stealing, home invasion, injuring people. As long as you aren't doing the latter, go for it.

But yeah, I'd find out the penalty first. To me that sounds like a minor crime. But the pot shop may be required to see your license to prove residency before they can sell to you. In PA anyone can get a medical marijuana card. All you have to do is say you've got anxiety or chronic pain. My step son applied, spoke on zoom with a doctor and had the card in a week.

I lived in Leavenworth KS for almost a year back in the early 80's. Getting your hands on some weed there was the easiest thing I've ever seen. Every single student in our school smoked weed... because there was NOTHING ELSE TO DO. I'm sure it's the same way now but you probably don't want to ask anyone where to get it. I understand that... but I bet many of the people you know smoke and you just don't realize it.

If you're wanting to handle it yourself and drive over to CO to buy it and bring it home... it's really just that easy. Don't break any road laws and you won't get pulled over. Even if you do you won't be a Greg Robinson and have half a ton in the back seat. Cops aren't going to ask you to pop your trunk. They'll write you a speeding ticket and that will be the end of it. Even if they catch you with some weed it's not going to land you in jail... it should be a misdemeanor unless you're buying a huge quantity. Don't be a dumbass and nothing will happen.

I know people who drive to CO and other legal states to buy it and they live in Florida. They aren't getting stopped at the state lines for contraband checks.

You can probably find it right in your hometown... but driving over to buy some so you can keep it on the DL is not going to be a risky task at all. Live on the wild side you crazy rebel.

I don't smoke ( get migraines from thc no matter the method) but I would go up to Colorado ( from New Mexico) with friends and get cannabis with friends. The only thing is don't have it out in the open on your way back ( on the seat) and don't act like you have 500 kilos of Colombian bambam in the back if you get pulled over. Just act normal, put a glass container that is air tight and you'll be okay.

Most places have limits on how much you can buy. I think you can get more with a medical card but not sure.

If you don't have the smell in your car, you should be fine. If you can smell it through the packaging, get yourself a turkey bag or oven bag. It won't go through that.

For myself, I’ve tried Indica, blends, and Sativa, every type of resin and concentrations you can think of as well as application methods. Unfortunately, it’s not for me chemically I guess. I Can black out drunk and wake up on 4 hours of sleep and put out a hard days work of manual labor for 12 hours and be fine. It’s just in me, unfortunately the THC isn’t for me . I love the smell of it though! Lol

For myself, I’ve tried Indica, blends, and Sativa, every type of resin and concentrations you can think of as well as application methods. Unfortunately, it’s not for me chemically I guess. I Can black out drunk and wake up on 4 hours of sleep and put out a hard days work of manual labor for 12 hours and be fine. It’s just in me, unfortunately the THC isn’t for me . I don’t get high. Been on umpteen opiates, alcohol, thc… at most, I get dizzy, but no change in thought or demeanor.

THC is also reducing my meds.

Problem is that the guy who my wife worked for is being kinda squirrelly and not sure if I’ll still have my source

hemp is legal, have you tried that yet ? same pricing, the main difference at least for me is that hemp doesnt last as long. it may not even work for you, hard to say, but it is a legal avenue to follow and should be available in your state as well since there are no legality issues involved.
