Kupp was a huge loss, would have been great to have him last night, but I can see that without him the Rams are utilizing the TE position more and Reynolds is also playing well.

So this offense might be more unpredictable now since Goff sometimes forced it to Kupp on 3rd down.

Now imagine how great this offense could be next year with all the pieces in place?

Probably no need to add any skill players next year. Maybe an OL for depth, then draft CBs & S and LB & DL depth.

Kupp is the man and he’s here to stay.

This is more helpful to Goff and McVay than to the overall offense because they are reminded that there are more options than Woods, Kupp and Cooks.

One thing I'm learning is that all the skill position players are getting coached up so that, if one goes down, the other can step in.

The precision that all the receivers run with says to me that they all get the same amount of attention. It comes across as "plug and play".

The practices must be amazing.

No.

TE's are ready to contribute on offense. Think Kupp gets his feet down for TD. Kupp gets some easy catches as he fakes at DBs for easy throws and catches. His blocking is also at a high level. Third and Kupp hard to stop.

Definitely not. Rams offense is not as good without Kupp.

BUT... His injury has definitely given Reynolds and the TEs more opportunity to get meaningful targets and they have all developed very nicely during the same periods in which Kupp was out. So in a way him going down might help this team in those ways.

For the first time in a long time I am not worried about our TEs. Actually feel confident about them and that's pretty cool.

Reynolds and Everett proved last night they are up for bigs games, which is huge. Sucks that Kupp is gone, but I feel alot more calm about the offense going forward .

Great point... but I'll raise you one... we'll truly be more well-rounded when McVay doesn't forget the running game, you know, during a game!

it sure was nice seeing Goff make big time throws inside the 10. An area he has somewhat struggled with up until this point. Goff could easily have 30+ TDs considering amount of Gurley's TDs have been rushes of less than 5 yards.

The lack of run calling is probably a revelation that our OL was mismatched and perhaps Gurley is fatigued. Gurley possesses ultimate confidence , last night leveled the playing field. Goff's self trust is definitely at a career high and we need it going forward.

I can't say that we are better without Kupp, or more diverse, however anyone wants to phrase it. We may have done the same thing at this point of the year with him. I do like seeing the ball slung around, and shared, but Kupp is money on third downs. It's just a good thing that we are showing our depth, and that we actually have it.

Excellent thread. I believe this is a positive outcome from the negative loss of Kupp. I love the fact that the Rams have found a 4th receiver in Reynolds. I always thought he would be an excellent red zone target but with experience he may become a valuable piece in a 4 WR rotation. I actually owe him a bit of an apology as I wasn't pleased with his effort earlier in the year. I have always believed Everett could become a weapon and now he is getting an opportunity to show. He could be a beast. Last but not least Higbee is not always consistent but has shown some grit lately. This offense is more fun to watch than GSOT!!
