Signing OBJ is nice but if the Oline can't give Saffold time to find his receivers, it means squat.

We're all in for this year's Super Bowl. Go Rams!!

Our OL has been one of the best in the NFL in terms of pass blocking.

Yep one of the best.

A lot of the pressures in the Titans game were on Stafford. He himself said that the underneath stuff was there and he held the ball too long.

Sure the OL got beat a few times but that's going to happen.

Felt that would be his down fall... Always going for the big splash play and not take what they give him. Hope he learned his lesson and glad it happened during regular season and not the playoffs

Whitworth had some comments about this after the game. He basically said the line was giving Stafford about as much time as in previous games but he was holding the ball too long. Also said the run blocking was really good-- imo an indirect criticism of the play calling too.

Welp, one sack was On Brian Allen totally missing a block right up the gut. It made ma sick to see it.

That may have been after the elbow injury. I dunno.

I’m my book both are true.

Stafford held the ball too long early in the game but there were also plays where the protection broke down much earlier then he is used to.

It was the Olines worst pass pro on the year. Also Staffords worst game in terms of critical interceptions and holding the ball too long.

It happens. Good learning lesson.

The line had its downs, but am I the only one who was sitting there screaming at the screen wondering why Stafford was holding on to the ball so long? Oline must not be too bad if he has 3+ seconds to wait for a receiver to get open.

Maybe they needed a game like that to get them back on track. Maybe things were coming too easy for them before that game. Maybe they won't take anything for granted now.

Seems like I read something like this right after the Arizona debacle.

This is a young OL. Up to that game they were playing at a very high level. They got thrown some wrinkles that they weren't ready for. Also, McVay and Stafford didn't do them any favors and stayed with the slow-developing plays even when it was apparent they couldn't.

So blame Stafford for not taking his check-downs which he could have on most of those sacks. Blame McVay for continuing to call the deep game instead of adjusting.

This is a new OL and QB so we have to expect growing pains. How they come out of this is what is important.

McVay for his part seems to be ignoring this as he's talking about going 4 WRs on many sets. He apparently is willing to sit Higbee with Woods and Jefferson probably going to be the quick option. Odell's snaps are apparently going to be at the expense of Higbee and Jefferson.

Why all the overreaction panic? The OL now has film to look at and see what needs to be improved, i.e. communication. The Titans threw a lot of stunts at this unit. Whitworth got fooled along with everyone else. Carberry now has film to coach them up to the next level. But this team has 7 wins largely because of this OL so overreacting IMO isn't warranted.
