I would be Very, Very, Very surprised if he's on the Roster even at the beginning of pre-season games!!
NFL teams with serious salary issues like Denver may find Nick Foles very tempting & manageable if they are up against the cap wall & all they have is 2017 second day draft picks to buy a QB as legal tender to offer up if a injury does occur to their starting QB.
Don't see this breaking before training camp starts unless somebody loses a Quarterback to a freak injury. Have a feeling it will end with the Rams cutting Foles before training camp and just cut their loss. All of us were hoping for at the very minimum a 5th round selection at first and now just a conditional selection, but it just does not seem like it is in the cards.

We should have never announced any plans in regards to who may start....And trade either/both Foles & Keenum.....damn shame this is the backup....we should only have Davis, Mannion, & Goff on this team.
Unless Foles really can't stand C. Kelley, SF would actually be a good fit.Rams are now set in their QB numbers & have their 3 top QB's now. Foles is has been a starting QB in the NFL for 3 seasons has more value than many may think to other NFL teams. Is an early season starting QB injury rare?
Foles has started over 35 NFL games. Foles has proven he can be an effective NFL QB in the right circumstances. What the Rams don't have in numbers is in 2017 1st & 2nd day draft selections. Snead would be very smart IMO to hold out on the release of Foles. Rams have already figured in Foles salary cap hit. Foles does not have any hanging negatives in the area of character or health. He is very smart & his arm is very strong. Behind a good OL when Nick will have time to throw, can get the job done.If it were up to me....I would keep Foles on the roster as long as possible even up to the trading deadline to fish & make the catch for 2017 draft selections of any type.
